Discussion: Gillibrand Is First 2020 Dem Presidential Candidate To Release 2018 Tax Return

Until she brags about committing random sexual assaults I really have a hard time taking her seriously.

I think all Democratic candidates should refuse to make their tax returns public until Trump does the same.

Nah. That would just give Bernie an excuse (that he so desperately wants) for not releasing his.

Why is he still dragging his feet on this?

How quaint.

Ah, give Bernie and his fraudster wife some cover. Wink, Wink, Wink… “see, no one wants to see Bernie and his wife’s taxes, not until we see Trumps”

Gillibrand is dead to rights with the reports that when in the House she signed onto trying to end D.C.'s handgun ban because, well she was “trying to protect the rights of hunters.” Punking for a better NRA rating is probably the one thing that will 110% prevent you getting anywhere in the Democratic Party.

I halfway expect him to trot this out as his excuse to not release them.

@moonlight_will_graham

Because he got away with it 2016, and releasing them will hurt his cosplay as “one of the people”

The LAST thing a Carpet-Bagger wants is for the public to be able to see his finances.

Bernie will never “fully” release his Tax Returns. At most he will pull a Gerald Ford and release a “summary” of them, maybe.

Practicing concealment helped him win the primary, did it?

Still can’t find them. Maybe in Jane’s junk drawer.

It helped him tighten his hold on his base, which is a prerequisite to his run in 2020.

If he felt it hurt his chances, than why hasn’t he already released them?

Even if there is nothing untoward in them, he knows they are going to be gone over with a fine toothed comb. Hell, that is how he started the whole attack on Hillary about her speeches. He garnered that information from her tax returns…while steadfastly refusing to release his and being subjected to the same research.

He thought he could win the 2016 primary without releasing them. Didn’t work out that way and doesn’t appear that he has learned from experience. DK what he is thinking now.

Putin’s White House pet still hasn’t released his taxes. We all know there’s no audit.

Tax returns under Republicans are becoming as obscure as possible. This idiocy began with Mitt Romney. It should be clear to the American voter and the news network that taking candidates seriously who don’t show their tax returns at least 18 months before the election is dishonest and ridiculous. We don’t need con artists in the White House or Congress.
