“Gillibrand said that it’s unclear whether Trump will ever hold himself accountable…”
Senator, where have you been for the last two years?
Trump:I want Roy Moore to investigate these FAKE allegations. I want Gillibrand to quit after Roy finds out the Real Truth.
Good luck with that. The difference between Al Franken and Donald Trump is that Donald Trump has redefined criminal justice in America (but only if you’re a Republican’t):
“You’re under arrest for robbing the Sixth National Bank.”
“I didn’t do it.”
“But we have witnesses.”
“They’re all lying.”
“But we have video of the robbery recorded by the bank’s surveillance system.”
“Fake news!”
“Okay. You’re free to go.”
“So. Much. Winning…”
Seems like the very least she could do.
Why hasn’t Gill done this earlier? Instead, she called on Franken to resign first?
Seems upside down.
Destroying rivals for the 2020 Democratic Presidential Nomination?
Kirsten, as a prelude to a 2020 run, this will get you some PR, but you know the Asshole-elect is going to now burn you. Sad.
This is what the moral high ground looks like.
A bit late in my opinion.
(Somebody must have told her she would like a screaming hypocrite if she didn’t also demand Trump resign)
She went after the low hanging fruit first so she could burnish her moral high ground bona fides and get the easy scalp. Frankly, I’m surprised she’s bothering going after Trump since it won’t succeed and it was all about her opportunism in the first place.
She will never be potus
Planning for 2020.
I hope to hell this wasn’t the grand strategy that led to calling for Franken’s resignation.
The same was said of Trump. We live in interesting times…
I’ll vote for Trump before I vote for Gillibrand. And I honestly hope Trump rots in hell. “President Trump should resign.” Harharhar. She is only making Trump stronger.
What did she learn very recently that caused Gillibrand to come to this conclusion?
Nothing?
Well golly, I wonder why she chooses to make this statement now?
Gillibrand said that it’s unclear whether Trump will ever hold himself accountable
Hmm. It’s unclear whether a 70-year-old man, who has never in his life been held accountable for anything, is going to hold himself accountable?
Oooooooooooooookay.
Obviously with the blowback she’s getting from the Franken resignation, she knew she had to do this. But it’s pretty damn hollow and stupid. Too bad. She could’ve gone far.
She can kiss my hairy butt.
