Discussion: Geraldo Rivera: I’m ‘Filled With Regret’ For Defending Roger Ailes

FOX employees are worrying about their “reputation.”

Too little, too late, clowns.

Too little, too late. Do you actually expect women to ‘forgive’ you because you were BLINDED so you made sexist remarks to back up a sexist? Good lord.

A cancelled book deal will fill you with regret, eh Geraldo?

Sorry, Jerry*, your apology is too late and probably specious. This guy has been coasting off the Willowbrook story for forty+ years. He did one good job as an investigative reporter a long time ago, and is now resting on his laurels. Please to go away.

*For those who do not know, he was born “Jerry Rivers.” Changed his name in an effort to portray himself as a minority. Another lie.

He did

I wonder if he regrets wearing those red glasses

urban legend

Say it, say it!

Geraldo saying he is “filled with regret” is akin to him saying he is “full of shit” which indeed he is.

If you’re so full of regret could you donate the money you accepted during that period to a battered women’s shelter?

Actions would speak louder.

Willowbrook, for those who don’t remember, was a state home for the developmentally disabled in Staten Island. Geraldo’s first big story was investigating the horrible conditions there. It led to major changes in the way New York State manages treatment of these people. My wife manages several group homes for these individuals and there are still a few who were in Willowbrook during the bad old days who still get special care.

I give Geraldo credit for admitting he was wrong, but it seems nearly inconceivable that Ailes was committing these crimes for 20 years and no one caught on to it. The big opaque door on his office should have been the first clue.

“But the AP doesn’t have a TV channel where I could show my cheeseball mug every day, so that’s not gonna happen.”

Geraldo is the poster boy for opportunists everywhere.

One thing I will say for him, back in the pre internet days of Monicagate, he was the only talking head defending Bill Clinton.

His attitude was basically: “It’s a blow job. So what!! This impeachment is stupid. Let’s move on.”

eta: He would argue with Ann Coulter and Kellyanne Conway on his show. That’s where I learned to despise them.

Geez, I watched that steaming pile because I was always interested in Capone. I can never get those hours back.

It’s not noticed because they see the comments Ailes made about women (when no women are around) as just “guy talk” and not really meaningful.

And it’s not like Ailes would pressure any of the women for sex around any men that had actual power and/or a voice.

And don’t forget his kiss ‘n’ tell book where he bragged about the celebrity women he porked and named names.
Only a 1st class jerk does that. Ugh!

Story just updated: Geraldo Rivera:" I’m filled with shit!"

I had heard that Ailes had sex with Rivera more than 5,000 times.

He’s still better than the rest of the ass kissers. I don’t see their apologies. To me the worst is Jeanine Pirro Judge Jeanine. I cringe thinking about her sitting in actual judgement about someone accusing someone powerful.

"“This guy is doing eight million things a day. You really think that he’s chasing her around?”
