Being defended by Geraldo? Williamsâ career is doomed.
Uncoded Geraldo concern: there but for the grace of God, go I.
With friends like Geraldo, Williams is f*****.
My thoughts exactly when I read the headline. Jerry Rivers is worried that if Williams feels he has to resign, then wonât Jerry have to, too?
Congrats Brian, Jerry Rivers is on your side. Well at least you have that going for you, which is nice.
âSenior news correspondent Geraldo Riveraâ? The only thing Geraldo Rivera corresponds to is a baboon on mescaline.
You tell 'em, Geraldo! How dare they pick on Brian when they havenât finished with Al Caponeâs Vault yet!
Lets see, the indefensible defending the indefensible. What a country.
Whorealdo just delivered the kiss of death to Williams.
âWhy is it that the loudest voices condemning Brian Williams never served in combat, were never combat reporters?â
This is such a BS statement. Does he even realize that some of BWâs critics ARE journalists, some who HAVE done reports in combat, including Tom Brokaw, the man he replaced. But regardless of oneâs background, a lie is a lie, no matter who tells it. And I know that if I so much as âembellish the factsâ in my job (teaching), then I get fired. I canât use the excuse of âyou donât know what itâs like to be in shoesâ. Besides, Geraldo gets uptight anytime someone even remotely criticizes him, so maybe he needs to shut up.
Yes, but dig the mustache. Harry Reems lives!
When Geraldo comes to your defense, hang it up.
Of course a Fox employee would defend LYING.
Geraldo Rivera has perfected the art(?) of injecting himself into news stories, a journalistic no-no and dangerous place to be. When the journalist and ego of the journalist become the story, journalism suffers. To that end, Rivera promotes suffering.
Well, Rivera never really has had a love affair with the truth, now has he?
Politicians lie, are EXPECTED to lie. Journalists, NEVER!
I donât know which is worse: Being criticized by Howie Kurtz, or defended by Geraldo.
Geraldo is the obvious go-to guy in any effort to deny the importance of accuracy in reporting.
Well, Brian Williams can stop worrying now, since he is being defended by the premier pillar of American investigative journamalism (no, that is not a typo). I recall one of Riveraâs supreme acts of reporting, while working for ABCâs âGood Night, Americaâ during the early 70s. It was titled, âThe Gays Who Lay For Payâ. Wow. Makes you wonder if Walter Cronkite was ever worried that Rivera might be hired to replace him.
OK, folks, letâs place some bets: who will be the next has-been ( examples: Rivera, Stacy Dash, Scott Brown, Huckabee, etc.) to become a fixture on FoxNews, since theyâll never get a job anywhere else?
Iâm putting my money on either Charles Manson or the Menendez brothers, with the edge going to Manson, since his personality most closely resembles that of Sarah Palin.
And who wouldnât like to be defended by a guy who wrote some of the ugliest kiss ânâ tell books ever?
Who gave him oral etc. What a sterling guy!
Funny, Geraldoâs response sounds like some loser tweeting from his momâs basement?
Methinks he is projecting.
And btw, Geraldo is keeping the story alive, on purpose-who knows but if anyone ought to close his flap its Vault Boy, Geraldo.
