Discussion: Georgia Isn't Out of the Teapot Just Yet

Discussion for article #222991

Don’t vote for either of these two. It will be the “same ol, same ol.”. Vote for Michele Nunn & lets get Ga. moving forward, instead of continuing.backward.!

Jody Hice is worse than Tom Graves, something I did not think possible.

The House of Representatives, already a looney bin, needs these two like it needed Allen West and the retiring Michele Bachmann. It’s no wonder so many GOPers have been so enthralled with tough guy Putin. They admire his distortion of the media, his quashing of dissent and comfort with lying. Good luck Michelle Nunn and good luck Georgia, rooting for a return of sanity.

Total Democrats voting in Kentucky yesterday is 403,950 and Total Republicans is 355,365… hmmmm…

141,484 Kentuckians voted against MR. McConnell… can one of you tell me why you didn’t vote for Mr. Mcconnell?

General Sherman should have salted the earth as well.

Because he’s a terrible, God awful, shell of a man who shouldn’t be charged with leading a trail of ants to a jar of sorghum, let alone leading the US Senate. Because he’s continuously sold out the people of Kentucky and made our lives far worse than they have to be. Because he used to be a reasonably moderate, Republican who cared more about government efficiency than ideological batshittery. Because he’s sold out every single principal he’s ever had. Because he plays some of the worst homophobic, sexist, and racial dog whistles despite his being a gay man married to a woman of color. Because the only time he can be bothered to come to KY is to shake his chins at the KY Derby and to seek reelection. Because he found a way to marry a woman who is even worse than he is.

Wanna’ know just how much of a hypocritical, depraved Rat D*ck Jack Kingston is? This tells you quite clearly:
Jack Kingston: “But one of the things I’ve talked to the secretary of agriculture about: Why don’t you have the kids pay a dime, pay a nickel to instill in them that there is, in fact, no such thing as a free lunch? Or maybe sweep the floor of the cafeteria — and yes, I understand that that would be an administrative problem, and I understand that it would probably lose you money,” he said at a Jackson County Republican Party meeting. “But think what we would gain as a society in getting people — getting the myth out of their head that there is such a thing as a free lunch.”

Now THIS:
“Kingston and his staff expensed nearly $4200 in meals for business purposes to his congressional office, paid for by the American taxpayer,” WSAV 3′s Dan Kartunen reported. The amount could have purchased nearly 2,000 Georgia school lunches.

WSAV also found that Kingston also racked up $4,289 of free meals paid for by third-party groups like the Georgia Bankers Association and the Congressional Institute. Kingston has also travelled to a handful of continents on congressional business racking up $24,313 in costs. Those expenses include more than just meals. What’s more, Kingston also expensed $145,391 worth of meals for campaign events."
…
Typical GOPig: Take from the poor, give to the rich, and scream at the poors for being poor.

Calling Kingston a loathsome POS would be an insult to loathsome POS everywhere.

Thanks Ed. It is GOOD to be reminded of these candidates. NOW…we need to get Dems out to vote and REALLY have a ‘victory’.

There will be a run off election in July between the two before the winner of that starts the real campaign against Nunn.

Odds are against Kingston in the run off. He doesn’t have the money resources that Perdue has,and the race will now turn into a typical GA, metro Atlanta vs. rest of the state race…which always strongly favors the Atlanta metro area candidate.

This buys Nunn some time to start crafting some policy messages, which she is definitely going to need to have any chance. Perdue is the candidate she will fare the worst against…financially, ideologically and geographically.

No, tell us what you really think

Chao seems to have the political savvy if not most of the brains in the family, could probably be called a tiger wife. Her taste in men? Meh.

Isn’t Kingston, a guy who feeds at the government teat, the one who said school kids should be charged a nickel or dime for lunch and then made to sweep the cafeteria so they learn early there is no free lunch? But he kep his remarks short as he was on his way to have lunch with some fatcats.

Count on it.

Yesterday was the Primary in KY. That means the republican’s voted for which republican they want in the race. It also means the democrats voted for which democrat they (democrats) want in the election to be held in November.

It wasn’t republican vs democrat yesterday.

The Devil went down to Georgia a’lookin for a pol to steal
He was in a bind – he was way behind – and he was lookin’ to make a deal.
When he came across Jack on the campaign stump, a-fibbin’ hot.
And he sent Perdue up in his face, said: "Boy let me tell you what:

"I guess you didn’t know it, but I’m a filthy liar too.
"And if you’d care to take a dare, I’ll make a bet with you.
"Now you’re a raging dummy, boy, but give the devil his due:
“I bet a mountain of gold against your soul people think I’m dumber than you.”

The boy said: "My name’s Kingston and it might be a sin,
“But I’ll take your bet, your gonna regret, 'cos I’m the dumbest ever been.”

Jackie dull down on your wits and play your victim card.
'Cos hell’s broke loose in Georgia and the devil owns the ‘tards.
And if you win you get this shiny gold from both the Kochs,
But if you lose, you get a job on Fox!

Mitch no doubt promised her that if they wed, life would be a bowl of turtle soup for her.

It’s not that the Tea Party is losing down south, it’s that the GOP has been captured by the Tea Party. The distinction between GOP and Tea Party was largely a marketing ploy, the GOPTP is just the same old right flank that has always existed in the GOP. Call it the Tea Party if you want, it used to be called the John Birch Society.

The far right has captured significant portions of the GOP, whatever you want to call them.
