Discussion for article #229908
Has anybody heard anything new on the supposed 40,000 lost voters that weren’t recorded by the Secretary of State?
NO! Here we go again, the black vote, women vote, Hispanic vote. When the hell are the Dems going to run on accomplishments and programs.
Who the fuck cares how many people are registered to vote if they don’t actually go out and vote? It’s nice saying there were 29% more registered voters, but if they don’t go to the polls and cast an actual vote, it’s just a unicorn fart in the wind.
Short answer - no.
Demographics is the long game, and by the time it comes around voting will be so restricted that they’re not going to be able to participate anyway. Plus, until Democrats from top to bottom communicate that presidential election years are only the start of the change they want to see, the old whiteys will beat the sh*t out the Democrats.
@starbaby - I was wondering the same thing. If they went through, great. I hope the people who registered actually turned up at the polls. If not, I won’t be surprised, but the question becomes what does the NGP do with it. Given that Purdue beat Nunn by 200,000 votes the number won’t matter, but it’s proof of voter suppression.
All these years later, how is it these folks aren’t voting right now?
Apathy, ignorance and the acceptance of non-responsive politicians, I imagine.
