So we have a corrupt tax exemption, corruptly cancelled, and now arbitrarily reinstated.

I have no idea why ordinary people should be alienated from politics.

Georgia Governor Grounds Jet Fuel Tax Cut After Delta-NRA Divestment Drama

I don’t think so. The tax cut is reinstated. It was suspended to punish Delta for not giving NRA members a discount.

That’s just the governor giving big ol’ wink at Amazon, whose second headquarters Cagle stupidly jeopardized with his fluffing of the NRA.

Interesting because during the 2018 Legislative Session, “Raw” Deal was put out with Cagle. Deal threatened to call a special session if this tax BS caused issues with the Amazon HQ2 deal.
Popping popcorn because this is due to keep arising.

The Georgia General Assembly could reinstate such a tax.

Keep it up, Georgia, and you’ll see Delta live up to a revamped slogan:

Delta — We love to fly (off and establish our hub of operations in friendlier climes) and it shows.™

Them crackers be some world-class idjits.

Luckily, the Georgia Legislature only meets for 40 (legislative) days out of the year. (This apparently hails back to the time when many legislators were farmers, and could not leave their fields for too long.) This now gives them just enough time to try to screw everything up but keep the state open for business.

Sorry, gun loons, but Delta is far too important to the Atlanta and Georgia economies to be a whipping boy for your hatred.

A GOP tenet is any government interference in business is a bad thing. “Picking winners and losers” they call it. Now look at this. A private biz makes a private decision that government doesn’t like and they get burned by that government. That is government intentionally using its power to harm its citizens. Every congressman that voted to do this violated the office of office. It’s amazing this doen’t become a bigger story. A city adopts an LGBT policy or immigrant policy that state gov doesn’t like so the state uses its power to punish those people for not seeing things their way. It’s on the upswing, exclusively done by GOP controlled congresses but it’s addressed on an incident by incident, not trend, basis.

“Providing tax relief to job creators will help us maintain our competitive advantage as a global hub for commerce now and in the future,” he said.

He added, “The NRA runs a National Extortion Racket, which does not create any jobs.”

AP sux.

Sure, but they got burned by a STATE government.

Anything federal = bad, Anything state = good

(usually)

Georgia general assembly is bad. Tax cut on fuel restored by governor so that delta wont decrease flights to and from atlanta.
