Discussion for article #227884

“Maybe there is some influence here that we don’t know about,” . . . um, like the failure of your policies?

Good Lord! These folks just cannot accept any truth that doesn’t fit
into their delusional narrative.

Sometimes I swear I hear that weird music from the Twilight Zone
every time I read some of the nonsense these folks spew and can
almost see Shatner freak out as the music plays.

Maybe its because California raised its minimum wage. More people have more money to spend and they are spending it, creating more jobs.

Maybe its because people are fleeing Georgia thanks to the GOP passing the craziest gun law in the country.
… Republican governors are leading some of the states that are making the most progress — that they almost, without exception, are classified as having a bump in their unemployment rates. Whereas states that are under Democrat governors’ control, they are all showing that their unemployment rate has dropped.
That about sums it up - Republicant polices DO NOT create more jobs.

Nothing new here. Democrat administrations have out-performed Repug admins in jobs and economic markers every time over and over during the past 45 years.

Captain Oblivious!

Gov Deal: it is less irony and more about policy that causes GOP states to fall behind.

“It’s ironic that in a year in which Republican governors are leading some of the states that are making the most progress — that they almost, without exception, are classified as having a bump in their unemployment rates. Whereas states that are under Democrat governors’ control, they are all showing that their unemployment rate has dropped.”

This is about as far from irony as you can get.

and when the fortunately named Gov Deal should lure some yankee business to relocate operations in GA with tax subsidies, right-to-work, etc., that is not creating jobs. You are stealing jobs from another state.

“Republican governors are leading some of the states that are making the most progress…” It’s because they don’t define “progress” in terms of objective measures. They define it as conformance to conservative ideology. It’s why they can’t admit when they’re policies fail or liberal policies work: the effects of the policies literally don’t matter in measuring whether they’re correct.

Here is a horrible man and I hope the good people of Georgia can get this vile pos out of office.
