Discussion: Georgia Candidates Couldn't Escape Trump, National Issues In First Debate

A reporter “almost accosted” her?

“Almost accost” is a fundamental part of a journalist’s job when a subject would prefer to avoid answering questions from the press.

From a distance it looks a lot like Marine Le Pen vs. Emmanuel Macron. A mean “patriotic” woman vs. a nice young(ish) man.

How nice of Handel to say she doesn’t support a “religious litmus test,” seeing that it’s, you know, unconstitutional.

'Course, she blew it by simultaneously supporting Trump’s ‘travel ban,’ which the courts have so far ruled (this from the 4th circuit) “drips with religious intolerance, animus, and discrimination.”

Does she think we won’t notice?

“I do not support a livable wage,” she said. “What I support is making sure that we have an economy that is robust with low taxes and less regulation.”

Ideological purity is so banal and inhumane.

I’ve yet to see an “economy” that worked two shifts, couldn’t pay medical bills, or couldn’t make enough money to feed itself, or all of the above.
