Zimmerman is a disgusting human being.

The wait is over. Drumpf has found his running mate!

(My sincere hope is that Karma finds this pathetic excuse for a human being in a jail cell with a 300 pound African American biker named “Tiny”).

took the words right out of my mouth. Who would buy such a thing? Equally disgusting.

“What I’ve decided to do is not cower,” Zimmerman told Fox 35 Orlando about his decision to sell the gun. “I’m a free American. I can do what I want with my possessions.”

Indeed. Please take your head, and stick it in a meat grinder.

We should pool our money, buy the piece of spit and melt it down publicly.

I’ve always thought one of the more interesting themes in “To Kill a Mockingbird” is the question of whether there are people who are worthless. The author pretty much decides there are, and this guy is living proof of that. Some people are deluded, or in pain, or mentally ill, or evil in a way we struggle to understand. And some people are just worthless. All you can do is regard them with contempt and look forward to the day they’re no longer polluting the world.

Zimmerman is truly a despicable human being, but the person who ends up buying this gun, and someone will, isn’t a whole lot better.

There are plenty of racists who would love to own that “piece of history”…

Three letters and the first two are K.

You misspelled “Murder in Cold Blood” in the headline.

I don’t have the words to describe how much more of a vile and disgusting piece of shit this makes Zimmerman beyond what he already was.

I don’t pray, but if I did I would pray that the goddess Nemesis catches up to Zimmerman, and QUICKLY.

“This is a piece of American History. It has been featured in several publications and in current University text books. Offers to purchase the Firearm have been received; however, the offers were to use the gun in a fashion I did not feel comfortable with,” he continued. “The firearm is fully functional as the attempts by the Department of Justice on behalf of B. Hussein Obama to render the firearm inoperable were thwarted by my phenomenal Defense Attorney.”

Full wingnut who doesn’t realize that he isn’t unique in American History. Lots of white guys have shot an uppity Negro and gotten away with it. Zimmerman must be pissed that we all made a fuss when he did it.

Excellent choice of art by early to mid 19th century German artist Alfred Rethel. From Wikipedia:

He painted Nemesis pursuing a murderer across a flat stretch of
landscape. A slaughtered body lies on the ground, while in front is the
assassin speeding away into the darkness, and above an angel of
vengeance. The picture, so the story goes, was won in a lottery at
Frankfurt by a personage of high rank, who had been guilty of an
undiscovered crime, and the contemplation of his prize drove him mad.

One can only hope that Zimmerman, the human refuse that he is, feels this same constant feeling that he is being pursued and will eventually pay for his crime.

“As such, the foundation has no comment on the actions of that person,” the statement reads"

Well done, although I might take issue with the use of the word “person”.

There are undoubtedly some who will continue to delude themselves into believing Trayvon’s murder was justified. They need to do so out of stubbornness, an inability to admit their own racial bias, and/or a general need to be an ass. But I imagine an overwhelming majority of folks realize Trayvon was just a kid who defended himself against a bully with a gun. I imagine the gun is all Zimmerman has left to sell, it’s all he’s got left to use to remind his supporters he’s still around. Once it’s gone he’ll have nothing left, except his final act in which he kills another or gets killed himself. Let’s just hope it’s the latter.

I would find it enormously amusing if this handgun somehow becomes the instrument used to end Zimmerman’s life.

It is hard to conjure up the level of invective that would be proper for this offensive action. It is bad enough for a guy with a history of assault both before and after the murder to follow and attack an unarmed teenager. It is reprehensible that that so many have accepted his self serving story that Martin attacked him, despite a complete lack of corroboration. But to do this is just to taunt and cause additional pain to Martin’s family. For him to act like this is just another contradiction of his story that it was just self defense.

TPM:

What use would that be? Did someone want to take it apart and drop it in a garbage dump? Did they want to use it to protect people instead of shooting teenagers? Put it in The International Museum of Gunfails?

“The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin,” he wrote.

You were patrolling the neighborhood as a self-designated one-man “community” patrol. Even as a self-assigned fantasy, it was still your ostensible intent to protect your community - instead, an intermittent member of that community got killed on your watch. By you.

If nothing else, you should be ashamed of the spectacular fashion in which you failed your community, killing a teen-aged member of it who would still be alive today if not for your misguided “patrol”.

Jackass. As kwoodgr succinctly stated at the very top of this thread, you are:

I would venture to say that that buyer is worse – because with ZImmerman’s “starting price” of $5000, whoever buys it will vastly overpay for what the actual weapon is worth, so it’s just for the notoriety. That’s just plain ghoulish.

May they both rot in hell.
