Discussion: George HW Bush's Service Dog Sully Pays His Respects

Dogs are the best!

Sully is a working dog. I was happy to hear that he will move on the Walter Reed to work with a wounded warrior. He’s a proud, hardworking boy. Despite his distinguished appearance, I love the occasional tail wag.

Matter of opinion. :smile_cat:

Dogs are good people.

But I think whether they’re the best people is a matter of personal preference. There’s the barking, first of all. Not crazy about the barking.

Seriously. I’m minding two 6-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer pups at the moment and am struggling to maintain my sanity amidst the din and general mayhem…

At the risk of a pseudo-repost, the Trump vs. Dole salute to Bush’s casket really grates on me.
The media showed Trump’s BS salute on every channel, but on most on every outlet I see, but the major media edit out Dole’s very proper, gracious, and military salute to his fallen comrade.

Cadet Bone Spurs was insulting to Bush to give a sloppy bent-thumb salute (which he also gave to a NK general).

Bob Dole fought for this country and lost an arm. He still had much more gravitas than our current President in his salute. The media should show his salute in its entirety.

It crosses my mind that we might have that metaphor backwards.
