“In the brief, Trump argues that Congress can’t investigate the President unless it’s for impeachment proceedings.”

Please make The Conways a reality show.

Make it pay per view.

I’d still be all in.

"and when she once said Conway’s remarks were a “violation of basic decency, certainly, if not marital vows.”

Seriously, would anyone pay attention to this guy if he wasn’t married to the Harpy in Chief?

I just don’t understand how that marriage remains intact. It just doesn’t seem to have the sincerity and mutual respect that Matalin and Carville’s marriage has.

Well he is a federalist society weasel so there is that tension between their own brand of zaniness and the hair-ball-in-chief’s.

This is snark, right? Matalin and Carville are soulless shills working both sides of the street. They don’t have any real positions. They just love to play the game, and collect the cash.

I don’t know what keeps the Conways from simply killing each other.

“George Conway Writes WaPo Op-Ed Calling For Trump Impeachment”

Misogyny I say!

How dare he try to get his wife fired!

Conway might be, but his co-author, Neal Katyal, definitely is not.

“For over a decade, I have been privileged to be involved in Federalist Society events, and it’s a really interesting thing that they have seen fit to invite me even though I generally don’t think like them on a lot of things, and the quality of the speakers and the free-for-all discussion is unparalleled, so it’s really been a privilege.”—Neal Katyal, Acting Solicitor General (Obama Administration). This is not the first opinion piece where Katyal has added legitimacy to Conway.

They set the tone early “the ultimate question, really — is not whether he committed a crime, but whether he is even fit for office in the first place” and don’t let up.

(somewhat) yes

Though he lives his life in the legal shadows, he’s respected in DC circles.

Is this another Carville-Matalin dog and pony show, or is it real? Who knows at this point?

Kellyanne told him to do it.

Why? We already have the free one.

No it is not snark. I may not care for either Matalin and Carville, but I do think that their love for each other and their marriage is sincere.

The only way their marriage is sincere is that their professional careers are just play acting.

Weird how many people discount witnessing real events in real time in favor of dramatic recreations.

I’d be willing to believe his sincerity if he sat down with his wife first and talked her out of supporting or being a part of a criminal enterprise run by tRump as he simultaneously says he should be removed from office. There’s just something terribly incongruous about the fact that his weird wife, who allows tRump to disparage her own marriage publicly, and who works for a man that’s committing these high crimes and misdemeanors, is being called out by a husband that’s advocating for the Orangeman’s impeachment. Only in the bizarro world of D.C. does a marriage like that exist where people tend to often cash out on their political positions and infamy. I can’t figure out why his wife working for that criminal doesn’t seem to factor into George’s assessment for all the obvious reasons.

So…Fuck 'em all. I guess I just can’t wrap my head around this stuff anymore. Its too weird and too exhausting.

They feed off of each other.

He sees her as very attractive and she sees his intelligence as a strong sign of masculinity.
