There have been rumors since the beginning that KAC is leaker in chief. They aspire to being a “power couple” and set out to do it. I doubt there is friction about Trump, they probably both hate his treasonous guts.

It’s odd to see sane, polite, rational George Conway described as “outspoken” relative to Kellyanne Conway, who has shoved her way before cameras to say some of the most outrageous things ever said by a member of any administration.
If someone hadn’t been following her career and his tweets, reading this article would leave the impression that Kellyanne is the staid professional and George the loud-mouthed crank.
This headline is a little misleading… Yes, Conway does debunk the Trump Tweet but he could have done that in one or two paragraphs by expending 2-300 words. Rather, Conway’s real target was Calabresi. And the take-down was thorough and bloody. Conway took away all of Calabresi’s arguments and most of his dignity. Reading the original lawfare article is well worth your time. https://www.lawfareblog.com/terrible-arguments-against-constitutionality-mueller-investigation. I am sure by now that Calabresi wishes he had used one of his troll nom-de-plums to post his argument on breitbart where it belongs.

I know this is supposed to be a humorous story about a couple at odds with one and other, but if you read the underlying article you are struck by George Conway’s legal reasoning. He is a conservative but he is a conservative bound by law and precedent. He approaches the topic with genuine rigor. It is the lack of legal honesty and integrity displayed by the honorable Steven Calabresi, Federalist Society founder, that disturbs him most.
His final passage is most damning. "(A) lack of rigor, sadly, has been a disturbing trend in much of the politically charged public discourse about the law lately, and one that lawyers—regardless of their politics—owe a duty to abjure. "
When providing a legal opinion a lawyer owes his profession more integrity than is found in the average shoot from the hip blog comment.
