Discussion: Gardner Rips Into Sessions, Trump For Breaking Promises To Marijuana States

“What has changed President Trump’s mind that the Cole Memorandum would be reversed and rescinded?” Gardner asked. “I think the people of Colorado deserve to have that answer.”

When you're frustrated, down, and don't know where to turn, what do you do? Well, you can always kick a hippie. That'll make it all better.

Cory Gardner is an R-CO, not a D-CO. TPM is emulating FOX.

Just another distraction from what’s most important, and nutrition for the base.

Well, what do you know, seems like Sessions lies about non-Russia related matters as well.

A liar is a liar is a liar…in normal times, it would be amazing that’s he head of the DoJ.

Sen. Cory Gardner (D-CO) said in an angry speech from the Senate floor Thursday that President Donald Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions had gone back on their past commitments to respect states’ individual marijuana laws, and that he would be tying up DoJ nominations until Sessions “lives up to the commitment that he made to me.”

You mean Trump and Sessions lied? Definitely did Nazi that coming. :eyes:

Yes, it should be made clear that this is a REPUBLICAN senator calling Sessions and Trump liars.

Wait until that long-haired, skirt-wearing, vegan that smells like old flowers turns out to be someones grandmother.

Aww…Cory Gardner. So quaint of you to believe anything this (m)administration says or promises. Wait until Susie Collins (R-Phonyfuck USA) finds out there will be no fix for Medicaid for those Mainers she was promised. Just like you, she’ll whine publicly for being let-down and privately not give a flying fuck one way or another.

Vote these assholes OUT!!!

Here I was worried you had mis-identified the party affiliation and it turns out TPM needs to perform some spot-editing.

With that one little correction it turns from a protest into an ass covering. Thankfully, Gardner can let it go now.

It’s a gateway drug.

All I know is that going after pot means they’ll have even less resources to go after terrorism, cybercrimes, and money laundering. Nothing like shorting the country and redirecting needed law enforcement to handle the shit we really need the feds to apply themselves to. Waste of time, money and needed resources. Personal animus motivates everything Sessions does. Oh, and did I mention he’s a racist. They’d never get rid of him for that though. In Republican eyes, that’s a plus.

Just as an aside, why on earth is marijuana still listed as a Schedule I controlled substance? That is to say, more tightly restricted than cocaine?

I’m conflicted here as I am both pro-legalization and pro-kicking-hippies.

Emulating FOX? Seems like a typo.

Come on, TPM made a mistake. They are not “emulating Fox” (where the “mistakes” are designed to make the Democrats look bad).
