Discussion: Gallup: Pro-Obamacare States See Bigger Drop In Uninsured Rate

You are right.

Medicaid, expanded or not, must be paid for by someone else that is not it’s recipient. So it’s free for whoever gets it, but not to the taxpayer who finances it.

That makes no sense at all, Lupus. By your reasoning then no tax payer could receive any medicaid. And I assure you most people in America are tax payers. Just look at your pay stub or bank statement. The government gets its share out of all of us even if you fail to file your tax forms. So those who receive Medicaid are indeed taxpayers.

Not quite. To receive Medicaid you have to be at a certain poverty level and when you are there you practically pay no taxes, at least not at the paycheck level.

EVERYBODY has money taken from their income. Even me on Social Security. So whether you file or not, send a check on April 15th or not (or even if you get a refund). Everybody gives up some tax even if it’s local or state or federal. We are all taxpayers one way or another so for you to say what you did in your original post makes no sense.
