Impeachment is a serious matter that requires both House and Senate agreement, so no, it’s not happening without a substantial change in the situation. Constitutionally the President is elected to a relatively short four year term. My preference is the voters 86 45. It is a clear mandate from Us the People. This gets around the nasty little Pence problem at the same time.

I know you know that the House can and likely will impeach with a simple majority of their 2019 235 seats. The Senate of course votes to convict, and while it’s not clear now that they will, for one thing they never have even over Clinton whom they hated, the 20 seats up for grabs in 2020 in the senate could change their minds. Which one wants to be the one who remains in support of an unindicted co conspirator?
What he’s leaving out of his statement is that if there weren’t any impeachable offenses they wouldn’t be talking about them.
