He refused to give a statement yet was allowed to leave the scene of a near fatal shooting. You try that…shoot someone and tell the Cop’s to fuck off. You will not be walking away.
This guy comes across as one arrogant mother fucker. Stupid too. Training exercise ?
“It would certainly assist the investigation if we had his side of the facts, but that’s his choice to make,” Porter said. “I can’t force him to.”
Why not? Is it because he’s a cop? Every other instance of a policeman shooting someone always says they’re being investigated (even if it’s a sham…).
Hopefully they are using air quotes every time they say “training exercise”. I mean, it has to be a euphemism, right?
Yes. A “training exercise” with his “friend” the realtor in a model home fifty miles (and thus almost certainly way out of his jurisdiction) from his office.
You don’t have to be Sherlock Freaking Holmes to form a theory about what kind of training exercises were being conducted.
That’s what the kids are calling it nowadays.
Well I know exactly what kind of “training exercise” was going on. It’s just that when I do that “training” I’ve never needed to shoot the person I was training with.
Not literally, at any rate . . .
Even if his preposterous claim that he was conducting a training drill outside his jurisdiction were true, he should still, at the very least, be fired.
*Hill was allowed to leave the scene without giving an official statement, investigators have said. Porter said he was told by Hill’s lawyer that the sheriff would not be speaking with investigators.
“It would certainly assist the investigation if we had his side of the facts, but that’s his choice to make,” Porter said. “I can’t force him to.”*
What the…???
Some things don’t add up, or rather they add up to something different.
If this was truly a training exercise, what was a civilian doing there? Other than her “friendship” there seems to be no obvious connection. He’s allowed to remain silent, but let’s face it, if he’s unwilling to say anything, even to offer his own side of the story, it looks really fishy.
At some point his lawyer is going to have to come up with some sort of story, if not before then at a trial. If it really was an accident, his version of events should support that conclusion. If she doesn’t die her story is going to be the only one out there, and he may not come off looking so good. It already smells, and it’s getting worse.
