Both Farage and Assange have dismissed the suggestion that they took any action to influence the election results. The former British politician insisted he has “no connections to Russia,” while Assange has denied that WikiLeaks had any interest in helping Trump win.
Even if both these men were telling the truth (a poorly supported assumption) both are experienced enough to choose their words as carefully as a politician; i.e., nothing they say contradicts evidence suggesting both have a connection to projects closely aligned with oligarchic interests including the corruption and weakening of economic and political systems in Western democracies.
Guess the adage is true: traitorous assholes of a feather flock together.
To translate that from the British: “Of course I work full time for Putin, but I’m not supposed to talk about that. In any case, there are not now, nor have there ever been, any wires, ropes, cords, or yarn connecting me to Russia.”
