Suing Obama may just turn out to be the biggest political mistake Boehner has ever made. Almost immediately after he began talking about suing the president, the far right started talking about impeaching him. Now every Republican Senate candidate is going to be asked during a debate or interview if they would vote to impeach the president. The talk afterwards will be that āso and so said (s)he will vote to impeach the presidentā. This is the kind of thing that wakes up the very voters that typically stay home.

I have honestly asked that question of an awful lot of folks calling for impeachment on the boards. I even insist that they be specific as to their charges.
If I get any answer at all (or if Iām not dismissed as an Obama-sucker), it is all generalizations that have absolutely no grounds in the Constitution - like, well, heās lawlessā¦

Boehner should be sobbing at the mess heās helped the GOP become, just the body language speaks volumes. He must be smashed every day he has to face this bunch in the Congress, the only way.
The TPs aka: GOP aka: Conservatives are starting a trend to impeach Democrats, since they canāt elect their own nutjobs. This country will not move forward until we rid ourselves of their toxic influence. No jobs,none of the important issues move forward except dysfunction.
People, take your friends neighbors to the polls and take the bums out of our government. America IS much better than this, but Iām beginning to wonder.

Actually, I donāt find that one āhilariousā at all. I find it perfectly reasonable, and if that were the only reason the Republicans offered, Iād support it. What I find disturbing is that no one on the Right actually seems to care about the president killing citizens without due process.
Surely, Betty would agree.

Part of me has to feel that because of the response Pelosi and then Obama gave to any talk of impeaching Bush, a lot of republicans took that as a queue that they can freely impeach any and all Democratic presidents without any fear of it being used against them.
Then again, a lot of those same people are still subsisting on the bile from having Nixon resign ahead of his pending impeachment.

Unfortunately, these days, there seems to be little time for due process. Havenāt we done away with Habeas Corpus?
Itās a bit of a cargo cult at this point, isnāt it? They donāt have the warrant or the means, but theyāve got the trappings, and maybe someday their plane will come in. Well perhaps itās a good thing. We need more rituals to rediscover who we really are.

Sorry. You take up arms against your own country and hide out in the wilds of Yemen or Pakistan or some other Middle Eastern hellhole where the chances of your ever having to face American justice are zilch, you get whatās coming to you. Why should having an American passport give a person a free pass to commit acts of terror? To my mind these traitors are worse than the foreign-grown variety, I have no sympathy for them whatsoever.
