PBS having the CEO of Newsmax as a guest?
Nothing is what it used to be.
Let it go. It’s all good. Take a bite, it’s delicious.
He can’t directly fire him. He would first have to fire Rosenstein. Then he would need to nominate a Deputy AG willing to fire Mueller, and that person needs Senate confirmation. That person would then have to fire Mueller, which also would ruin their career and reputation, and potentially would face obstruction of justice charges.
Trump won’t fire Comey. Rosenstein will decide all on his own.
The dude has only started.
This should get very interesting.
So if Trump fires Mueller or has Rosenstein fire Mueller the jig is up. All Republicans will have to decide if continuing to dance with the devil is worth losing every election henceforth.
And if these guys think that town halls are loud and crazy now just wait and see what happens if in this case you follow your norm of putting party over country.
And what exactly would be the rationalization for firing Mueller? No, wait, it’s Trump’s “rationalization.”
Is Donald so tired of the Oval Office that he wants to commit political harakiri?
And what exactly would be the rationalization for firing Mueller?
Well for starters, he is a Grandstander and a Showboat…
It’s not clear to me that the stupids don’t form a sufficient base for the ® to continue running things. McConnell has demonstrated little consideration for any norms of governance, and Ryan cares even less. Needless to say, Trump doesn’t give a damn.
Trump is still at 38% approval nationwide, but many of the ® are in districts that are filled with stupids. The crooks won’t start losing elections until the stupid start realizing the sh*t sandwiches they’re being fed actually don’t taste that good.
I’m sure that firing Mueller would put a stop to all these annoying, distracting “investigations,” in much the same way that firing Comey did. Go for it, Donnie.
Squirrel!
trump, you know that President Obama wouldn’t have had the guts to fire Mueller. Come on, show him what a manly man you are in comparison! (snicker, snicker)
A handful of sane republicans in the House could nip this in the bud by signaling that firing of Muller would result in them joining the Dems in immediate impeachment proceedings. Where are these sane R’s in the house? Are there any in swing districts?
In my view, nothing would more quickly escalate the ultimate and final confrontation with Donald Trump* and Republican corruption than a Nixonian attack on the Justice System via firing the Special Counsel.
Please Proceed, Mr. Trump*.
Snipes and Unicorns, my friend. The republicans you reference are a myth.
Shorter Trump: I hate this job. Why dont you fire my ass and let me get on with my life? What will it take for me to be impeached or whatever?
So is Rudd a “leaker”?
If he does, he’ll get away with it. Watch McCain and the Duchess sell what’s left of their honor to support the firing not in words but in deeds.
But given his troubles with firing Comey – and a new prosecutor can just be appointed – I think it’s much more likely he’ll simply pardon all his people saying “This is political and we need to move on” and again the Republicans in both chambers will support not in words, but in deeds.
