The threats aren’t just counter-productive which is in itself counter-intuitive they are a joke.
Trounce is going down like a hooker on steroids. He won’t be around to fulfill his empty threats and even if he somehow miraculously does last, he’ll be weakened even further and per the Trounce norm, will reverse himself and instead will be begging for some freedom caucus action.
A shameless loser has no shame and loses a lot, this is Trounce.
As terrible as Sanford is, he understands the politics of the situation correctly. Trump may be operating under the asssumption that since Congress has even lower approval numbers than him, he has the upper hand.
What he doesn’t realize, however, is that while Congress has lower approval numbers, individual congresspeople have significantly higher approval numbers amongst the people who will vote for them than Trump does. He cannot threaten them because the vast majority of them (especially FC members, who have largely mushroomed out of gerrymandered ruby red districts) are gonna crush any challenger Trump supports against them.
Agree. It’s worth unpacking what’s implied here though. What Trump is threatening is to put into play the machinery that got him into the WH: Cambridge Analytica, a troll army, and hackers. Will the public fall for this a second time? I suspect we’ll find out ere the decade’s over.
This nimrod has taken to PMing me over merely liking your post and now is threatening flags because he’s getting his sock ass handed to him by me there as well.
The thing called me Mr thin skin for liking your post but did it in a private message.
How’s that for irony.
Definitely another troll trying to sow seeds of doubt but getting no where.
Well maybe so, but I’m not sure this is is how it works in democracies, even in an asinine and fairly corrupt one. Doesn’t Trump need these people to support his agenda?
If I were one of them I would be tempted to vote against him just to make him miserable! Remember he’s got to collect votes in his favour, in case of upcoming impeachment vote as well!
Robert Mercer, the billionaire hedge fund owner, bankrolled the Trump campaign and his company, Cambridge Analytica, the Observer has revealed, donated services to Leave.EU. If this issue forms part of the Electoral Commission investigation, this isn’t just a case of possibly breaking rules by overspending a few pounds. It goes to the heart of the integrity of our democratic system. Did Leave.EU seek to obtain foreign support for a British election? And, if so, does this constitute “foreign subversion”?
Some while back I recall there was a story on TPM about British IC agents who said that if that had happened with their Brexit vote, it would constitute a violation of Britain’s sovereignty.
