She’s sorry she was exposed.
And she has black friends, she says so.
If you are going to be ashamed when the video surfaces- don’t do it!
She certainly wasn’t heartbroken when she sang it. That’s when it mattered. She got caught and should own up to her bigotry.
Actually, in this case, considering the context probably makes it even worse.
I believe she is heartbroken over this incident. Singing along with a rap song with n-word lyrics is slightly different than the chant the frat boys were singing. Poor lady lost her job and her reputation. It’s sad.
Yeah, yeah. She’s like Peter Lorre in “M,” all agonized at her situation because you see those things she did aren’t the real Beauton Gilbow at all. It’s always that way when you’re busted for something. Don’t these people accusing you of doing this bad thing that you did in fact do, don’t they see how you’re basically a good person? This thing you did, it’s not you, somehow, it’s outside you, it just looks bad. I’ve been there. But you know what? I still did the things I did that got me in trouble.
Why oh why does Paula Dean keep having these problems?
I have always been taught to respect my elders, so I will be as civil towards this person as she deserves:
Fuck you, you racist asshole.
There. My mother couldn’t have said it better (actually, my mother would have torn this idiot a new “A”).
“I’m heartbroken I got caught doing it.”
Yes, I always find it amusing that people like this, who never associated with a black person in their lives, suddenly are awash in black friends when they are caught being racist. Just like the dumbass homophobes like Judge Roy Moore who try to justify their homophobia by saying they have plenty of gay friends. Yeah, right. Guess what, you RW freaks, I HATE fucking Teabaggers, and I DO NOT have ANY as my friends. I wouldn’t even let one of you stupid mofos use my bathroom.
“I am heartbroken that my racism has been discovered. Now excuse me, Paula Deene is on and I want to get some butter recipes.”
She’s “heartbroken” that her true, repulsive self has been exposed to the entire world!
Yes, Trinidad does repeat the “N” word over and over in the song’s chorus. However, he only repeats it 3 times in a row. . .not 7! “Singing along” my ass! She clearly just gets a kick out of saying the word.
Sorry “mom”. You’re supposed to be the adult in the room. You obviously aren’t.
She’s not singing along. She’s repeating the “N” word 7 times in a row. The lyrics to the song only repeat it 3 times in a row. She clearly just gets a kick out of saying the word. One of the boys who apologized said they were “taught” the song they were chanting on the bus. . .not a stretch to think that ol’ mum could have been their teacher.
Possibly, but I know how frat boys will try to embarrass or make a house mom look foolish sometimes, so it may have just as easily been the other way around. We’ll probably never know what was in her mind, although the boys’ chanting sort of paints a picture of what they’re thinking at the time…it’s just sad.
She’s just heartbroken that the entire world now sees her bigotry.
Sure, she has lots of black friends… “the cook, the maid, um I am sure that there is someone else, let me think…”
Typical repig non-apology.
