Discussion: Franklin Graham Joins Bank Sponsoring Gay Pride Event

Oh, Franklin, we put our money in, then we pull it out…put it in, pull it out…in, out, in, out, in, out, in, out, in…

Looking for a gay-unfriendly bank, Franklin? Guess I’ll have our patron saint address that

Give it up, Franklin. We’re smarter than you, more acceptable than you and people support our rights.

But they should not be trying to get into a moral debate and take sides," he said.

This makes absolutely no sense. Wells Fargo just wants to get their hands on people’s money. Refusing to market to gay people with money just because they’re gay people with money would be the very definition of getting into a moral debate and taking sides.

“A bank should be promoting the best interest rates they’re going to give me and what they can do for me as a business. But they should not be trying to get into a moral debate and take sides,” he said.

Darn straight. It is a bank, not a bakery, or a crafts-supply chain, or a seller of fast-food chicken sandwiches, or a hospital, or a university.

@Franklin_Graham

Today I met w/David & Steve Green at @HobbyLobby hdqrs. We need more Christian business leaders like them who stand for biblical values.

But if they’re a for-profit company of any kind they should certainly be in total control over the moral decisions regarding the medical and recreational activities their female employees are engaging in with their vajayjays and wombs?

Odds are that Franklin originally used Wachovia Bank out of Charlotte (acquired by Wells Fargo in 2008). Interesting that a gay-friendly bank from San Francisco acquired a bank out of the Bible Belt that was headed for bankruptcy. Perhaps the gay-friendly bank had a better business model than the Southern bank.

Who knew the little boy playing on the floor when Edward R. Murrow interviewed Billy Graham on ‘Person to Person’ in 1956 would grow up to be such an asshole…

Guess Franklin will be cut off from the real world. Companies supporting equality:

Well, I’m guessing that Franklin gets chauffeured in a Mercedes anyway. But you know the Heartbeat of America brand, the one you used to See the USA in?

No Chevy for you either, Franklin.

Graham can send all of his money to ME. I’ll “take care of it.” (I am not bothered by gay people, however, so I guess I’m not qualified. That and the whole “I’m not a bank” thing might just torpedo my plans.

Poor graham jr., just can’t seem to find a bigoted, racist bank where he can stash all the money he and his dad pilfered from the oldsters that believe his crap because they are afraid of death…

Well jr., if you want to get technical, didn’t Jesus throw the money lenders out of the temple?

So, should you be banking with any bank? I mean, at all? Since the function of any bank is money lending!!

I mean, if we are going to take the bybul literally.

Franklin Graham’s stance is not about morality, just the appearance of morality that will keep the money coming in from the rubes. We already know his ministry is not about doing good things (unless you count loading up his personal bank account with more money as good things).

… never a miscommunication.

He could always try the National Bank of Uganda. I’m sure they would be happy to take his millions of not-gay dollars.

It’s just getting so hard to be a really quality Christian bigot. Something must change.
