Uranium One has licenses to mine for uranium in areas that are estimated to hold about 20% of the Uranium that exists in the portion of the Earth’s crust that is U.S. Territory. So, it isn’t utter fiction, but it isn’t fact, either. as a practical matter Uranium One actually produces something like 1% of the uranium produced each year in the U.S. None of it is exported.

He’s the respectability beard. His slot is in the daytime when the Very Serious People in DC have all three networks going on television and his job is to keep the idea that Fox is just the mirror image of MSNBC (or at least MSNBC in their minds) breathing. The pretext is wearing thin, however. And it’s unclear to me whether his increasingly provocative displays of sanity are a management approved effort to maintain the pretext of respectability or if he’s trying to get himself fired so he can move to a sane network.
Unfortunately for Shep, Megyn’s dismal failure may well have convinced the real news networks that Fox poisons one’s personal brand so severely as to make them valueless. Which is a shame, because I don’t think that would be the case with him.
But, in the meantime, at least he’s out there spreading strokes and myocardial infarctions where they’ll do the most good.

The one thing that I’ll give the right is, they are the ultimate conspiracy, false narrative creating group going.
Its a self fulfilling event for one thing. They create out of nothingness-a juicy story and then eek it out until it becomes ingrained in their conservative brains. This emboldens them to do it again and to get more ludicrous with each new attempt, and those work also too.
Considering the facts that facts themselves, math, science and common sense are not on their side and the harsh truth of what they are is too painful for them to face, yeah, the conspiracy game is their best bet.
Plus, as it conveniently turns out-conservativism thrives on that shit and is that shit, so bonus!

They keep him on because he has great ratings. No other reason. They have dumped right wingers like Glen Beck when ratings went down. If Shep goes, they lose his ratings to someone else. I actually like him being there since FOX is sometimes just “on” in certain venues, and he offers some sanity that centrist people will listen to.
