Discussion: Fox's Shep Smith Debunks Right Wing's Pet 'Uranium One' Scandal

Perhaps this is a tiny first step in a Fox pivot toward “normalcy”. The whole Traitor Hillary Uranium One schtick had been going on for a couple of weeks prior to this. Why not sooner? The Murdoch sons are reportedly trying to change the Fox News trajectory. The network has been bordering on the insane and its been getting worse day by day. Is U-1 the final insult?

Feh, who am I kidding? Carry on Shep!

How does he still have a job? People with critical thinking skills and an objective view of reality aren’t welcome there.

Exactly. They want the Foxbots (sadly, my father has become one) to stay stirred up, but they know the charges are bullshit.

I think the Murdoch sons gave up on that endeavor around about March. While there’s a little juice left to be squeezed from the sponge, there’s nothing worth salvaging.

Just what I was saying. He’s the Howard W. Campbell of the rightwing propaganda machine.

A thing of beauty. Way to go Shep…I heard he’s already getting hate mail from ‘loyal’ FOX viewers who are adverse to ‘facts’.

I want to see him stay at Fox.
That’s the only way 30% of the population would ever hear this.

That’s a thing of absolute beauty.

I am also pretty certain that the “20 percent of America’s uranium holdings” figure is pure and utter fiction.

Right in the gonads of the right

I’m not sure why he stays there, but I count it as a good thing that Fox News viewers may have accidentally stumbled into seeing this report.

Or, as I commented on my Facebook Share:

“This IS news: Fox News actually practiced Journalism.”

Good point. Gotta wonder how much it sinks in though. People aren’t there because they crave more nuance and contrarian views in their media consumption.

Smith went on, dismantling point-by-point an attack that originated in the Government Accountability Institute — which was co-founded by Steve Bannon and funded by the Mercer family and the Koch brothers — before making its way into mainstream media outlets, including the New York Times.

Et Tu, Sheppe?..

Suspicious absence of U1 nonsense on Faux News this morning. The big focus is back to “leakers”…
