I ‘stole’ it from a book called They Knew Billy The Kid which was a WPA project in the 1930s to interview all the survivors of the Lincoln County War.
So not original, but also not a very well-quoted book.’
Don was so proud she was a model when she was a teenager and she had wonderful skin for SURE but the whole lower part of her face was disproportionate due to her overbite AND weak chin (matter of fact, Don Jr also has a weak chin imo). So she modeled but I bet Daddy was the one who got her the jobs OR people hired her because her dad was ‘famous.’
They are “saving the ideology” or “saving the frame.” Their mindset ideology or ideological standard bearer is so precious to their self worth that they often must go to great rhetorical and counterfactual lengths to save it. So long as there is even one iota of plausibility any foolish statement or “theory” is worth invoking if helps saves the frame.
Yes but there are homes other than the White House where Fox News is on ALL day - and so for them to hear this questioning of Trump’s actions / words may plant a seed…
I got it from a book on Billy the Kid because HE had an overbite that was really pronounced as well. So I am not surprised the person quoted was quoting somebody else.
I am a proud Chicago native and that was not a phrase I ever heard before and it stuck with me.
Kind of like Bless His Heart (meaning he is an idiot who always TRIES but he is an idiot). IF I got the meaning of ‘that’ Southern colloquialism right; I could be wrong.
trumPP is scared to death of losing in 2020 and here’s an attempt to make him seem like a war president, that is, one with gravitas. It worked for dubya, moron thinks it can work for him. It won’t. Expect more unhinged behavior on foreign policy.
Brian Kilmeade on Friday morning was bitching we did not hit Iran and “I” looked him up and that POS never served and has no military background PERIOD.
Here in the South, that usually means that the person referred to doesn’t have a clue and isn’t going to get one.
Sounds polite to strangers, but we Southerners know better.
There is now reporting (Saturday around 1:30 pm) that Tucker Carlson told him not to because it’s against everything he ran on and if he did it he wouldn’t get re-elected.
TRump doesn’t do proportionate. Isn’t he always bragging that if you hit him he will hit back ten times harder - I believe that SaraHuckaBS even trotted that out as a reasonable response to someone’s criticism of tRump once.
So proportionate? No.
And how does he get credit for calling off a strike anyway? He had to order it in the first place - and that scary thought is what everyone should be focussed on.
Who would have ever imagined that leader of the free world, arguably the greatest country and the biggest democracy in the world would be led an ignoramus who believes only in the power of TV personalities to guide him on foreign policy.
You remember the iconic pic of Obama, Biden, HRC et al watching bin Laden being taken down and the horrified look on their faces? In trumPP’s version it would be him surrounded by Fox & Friends personalities watching an ongoing military assault involving death and carnage and they’d be cheering
The military must have had many potential targets identified (it’s what they do) so why believe that Don the Con had only two choices, possibly 150 deaths or scrub the mission? I think it’s just what it looks like: He was gung ho until he wasn’t. Ditherer in chief.
