Discussion: Fox Reporter Calls Clinton 'Shadow President' In Spat With Ex-Obama Spox

Hey, Roberts. When you join FoxNews, you give up the right to defend your journalistic integrity, since you have already given up any journalistic integrity you may have ever possessed when you decided to join FoxNews.

Like FOX News viewers would know anything about British Politics. Hell, they don’t know anything about AMERICAN Politics!

To them, the term “Shadow President” means; “That Ni(CLANG!) Dictator who was in office a while ago, you know, right after Bill Clinton! and he caused 9/11 too!, USA! USA! USA!”

Is that the guy always sitting in the front row chez Sarah ?

I think it is…

And re. his ‘clearing things up’ “If you are explaining, you are losing”

Even the FOX reporters know that Trump’s presidency isn’t going well. Trying to create some kind of new Hillary Clinton scandal must be all they have left to distract from the current chaos in both the GOP and Trump administration.

Vietor was right; trying to inject HRC into the fray of the NFL issue was nothing more than engaging in cheap clickbait that mostly has significance to the feral trumpers. And no, - she’s not even close to being a “shadow President” unfortunately. He even got that wrong.

The rotting corpse of journalism with integrity on display.

If the Hillary well ever runs dry: what about that Franklin Pierce? Not many people know he was a Democrat.

This guy seems confused–Trump is the shadow president.

Hillary Clinton is the Fox News boggy woman. Nobody outside a whole lot of Fox News fans and far right wingers really care that much about what she says on any particular topic. Roberts knows where to find Fox News gold.

Darn. I always missed that name when we had to chronologically list presidents.

HRC sure has some badass superpowers. Lose election, become “shadow president” anyway AND sell books about the loss? Seems like a win-win!

HRC has largely stayed out of the spotlight since overwhelmingly winning the popular vote in the last election. The only place she is operating as a shadow president is in the fever swamp of Fox News, where they desperately need a distraction, any distraction, from the nincompoop they helped put in the White House.

That was the most strained, ad hoc justification for his bullshit I have ever heard…

“I… uh… was using a British parliamentary slang term!!! yeah… I mean geez could you be more uncultured! Hmph!.. No! I totally use that term… in that way! all the time… starting now!”

You know I can’t blame her for not running but if she did after 4 years of Donald I think she’d win in probably the biggest landslide ever, mainly due to voting against Donald, and that might put him away for good.

Conservative pundits … imply that there is a covert opposition movement working within the
government to sabotage Trump’s presidency.

They give the hapless Democrats way too much credit. We should all be so lucky.

Hey, I got the prime minister / parliamentary reference [not just British, btw]. It just doesn’t apply to our president / congress form of government. You might think Roberts was trying to confuse and scare Fox watchers silly by drawing such an inaccurate parallel. You might.

Well, she DID shame Donald Trump into actually doing something (however inept and belated and inadequate) about the once in 80 plus years Category 4 Hurricane that leveled Puerto Rico, after a week or two of playing golf and being totally all over the issue of NFL Players protesting police murders. She obviously pulls the levers of power…

If Roberts is pro-Britain in his politics, he may want to remember Britain has national healthcare and lots of gun laws. I’m okay with that.
