Discussion for article #242216
Yes. We do regulate cars and the idiots who drive them. Idiot!
OK, they win. I’ll support gun regulation ONLY if it’s as un-intrusive as vehicle regulations, and ONLY at the federal, state, and local levels.
We don’t regulate cars and George W. Bush kept us safe. These morons live in a fucking fantasy world. (Pardon my French, but they are just getting more and more frustrating and delusional).
And I can’t figure out if they actually believe their own shit or just say it to appease the yokels who watch them?
Simple solution: Make getting a gun as difficult as getting an abortion.

"Are we taking away cars now?" --- Duck Dick Robertson
Yeah, it would have worked out sooooo much better if she had an RPG or fully automatic weapon. Where do these idiots come up with this bullshit?
Furthermore, Duck Dick, no one is even remotely suggesting taking away guns. But there’s no reason their operators shouldn’t be tested, licensed and insured like every motor vehicle operator in the US.
Uhm…on what planet do they live on? Cars are HIGHLY regulated. From the way they’re made, to who and when you can drive them, cars are far more regulated than guns. We even require car owners to have their cars inspected every year to make sure they continue to maintain certain regulatory standards for as long as they’re on the road. Just try doing that with guns and we’d likely be facing a real rebellion, seeing as how these people get outraged at the idea that they even need to tell us what guns they own.
What weird, weird people. Because I’m sure they’re fully aware of how heavily regulated cars are, and would likely be insisting that they’re overly regulated if that was the discussion at hand. But when they’re in their little bubble, that knowledge goes right out the door.
Even if we didn’t regulate cars, it would still be a relatively rare event for a person to carry a car into a school or a movie theater and kill six or eight people with it. Same goes for swimming pools.
Earth occasionally experiences an Ice Age, during which large areas of North America are buried under thousands of feet of ice.
The U.S. is currently experiencing a Stupid Age.
Fox News host Harris Faulkner asked on Tuesday why guns should be regulated in the U.S. if “we’re not regulating the car.”
Give the poor woman a break.
In all fairness, few Republican grasp reality.
“Are we going to take away everything that people use to kill each other?” Faulkner asked. “Because we’re really going to have to start with the basics, like vehicles.”
Yes, I remember that tragic mass murder where the guy smuggled a Ford F150 into a movie theater and ran over 33 people. Oh the humanity!!!
I used to wonder what planet these people were from. Now I only wonder why they had to come here.
With insurance on your guns - same as REQUIRED on your vehicle. Don’t have insurance, lose the gun (or car).
Please stop! I can’t take it anymore. The stupid, it burns us!

Yep, or that time that guy shoved a bunch of ham sandwiches down people’s throats. It wasn’t just Mama Cass.
Or–make getting a gun as difficult as getting an abortion in a car.
Not all states mandate a safety inspection. Having lived in two states that required it and some that did not, it really didn’t make a bit of difference on the accidents or the results of the accidents.
Other than that, I agree with your post.
We Don’t Regulate Cars
WTF?
From mandatory catalytic converters, meeting fuel and emission standards, seat belts, the cars themselves are heavily regulated, and the licensing, ownership, titling, insuring, etc. are also highly regulated to operate them.
Please for the love of the FSM, will someone please slap this idiot until their pea-brain falls back into place or they pass out and shut up?
OK, they win. I’ll support gun regulation ONLY if it’s as un-intrusive as vehicle regulations, and ONLY at the federal, state, and local levels.
…And the same testing/licensing requirements.
