Yep. Nero was the first Emperor to persecute Christians in 64 CE. There’s no hard evidence of anit-Christian persecution prior to that. Then there was a 200 year gap until the Emperor Decius.

Imagine how bad off things would be there if we had not been greeted as liberators and Democracy was not so broadly embraced in a Saddam-less Iraq, just like neo-cons like Peters predicted?.. Oh, wait. That did not happen, and there was zero congressional testimony to find those responsible.

Without any serious accounting for how we got into this mess, we are doomed to repeat the same mistakes.
