Trump is a useful tool/idiot/stooge to Fox News corporate, but the latter is no more loyal to the former than the wolf is to the sheep. They will eviscerate him the instant it is in their business interests.
The brass at Fox News understand that whatever Hannity, Carlson and the morons at Fox & Friends say, Trump is not going to be president for ever, they do not want a precedent for banning a reporter or organization.
Some of them are smart enough to realize it’s a two way street and there will be a democrat in the White House come 2020.

AS most of the commenters have said - this is a dangerous precedent and it can’t hold up.
Considering that the legitimate media rallied to Fox’s side when the Obama administration was being antagonistic to it (for understandable reasons), it’s the least these scum could do.
