Discussion: Fox News Poll: Trump Leads By One Point Nationally

With his election, we can add a 51st state - the State of Deplorable.

That’s the opposite of every other poll that includes the Libertarians and Greens (why the Greens?): for some reason in every other poll Clinton is hurt more by the inclusion but in this one it’s Trump.

So much for the much-touted Clinton ‘ground game.’ Seems meaningless this go-around.

Better vote for Trump, then.

And so much for that Obama “ground game” as well, way back when:

OK, I’m ready for the polls to start swaying back the other way now. :grimacing:

Well, if it helps, on 5 November 2012, Gallup did its final election survey showing Romney at 49% and Obama at 48%. Say what one will about Gallup (if anyone says anything about Gallup) but no one needs to get ready to commit seppuku.

It’s just flat shocking that this country could be in such horrible condition (mentally, emotionally, financially, spiritually) that Drumpf ever had a chance in hell of being a nominee for a major political party. All snark and vitriol aside, the US of A has a major problem if it’s come to this. It’s also astounding that a totally empty suit like Drumpf could have any chance whatsoever against a candidate with Hillary’s stellar resume. Even if Drumpf loses in Nov, his candidacy/nomination proves that, to quote Bill Murray in STRIPES, “There’s something wrong with us; something very very wrong with us”. Polls are notoriously volatile so this thing can change in a heart beat. Still. Go, HRC!

This state of affairs is a 100% MSM invention. Set up so as to hype the first Debate.

I will say this. If Bernie does not pull those voters of his off of Gary Johnson on to Hillary, he will go down in history as an enabler of Donald Trump.**

** provided that people will still be in a condition to read history books after a Trump Presidency

There is something wrong with a vast swath of the American people. Something terribly, terribly wrong. In a way, they’re like a rabid animal. They’ll strike out and bite you but have no understanding of why they want to bite you. Maybe they should all just be euthanized like we do with rabid animals. It’s the humane thing to do.

Clinton’s team, those people running the ground game you think is inept, includes advisers from both the B. Clinton and Obama campaigns. Four election cycles of winners. Polls are meaningless, not her ground game.

they are gong to let the lyin’ dogs a chance to run. obama, biden. warren, bernie, bill, etc. hmm. i smell roasted red meat.

We’d appreciate your explaining how you think Clinton’s stellar ground game would have an impact on a poll?
Ground game is focused on getting out the vote - whereas a poll is … well, a poll. So the two are not related.

Republicans are going to turn out for control of the Supreme Court. They don’t need GOTV.

Liberals are going to pull a 2010, and stand on principle.

Unbelievable.

It’s hard to take a Fox poll seriously, but others have shown tightening. Americans don’t seem to grasp the gravity of electing Rodrigo, Cesare, Juan and Lucretia. Countries around the world are aghast at this nightmare. We aren’t looking too “exceptional” to them.

Lies, damned lies and statistics. Then there is anything that emanates from the Fox propaganda machine; those are just plain lies. Karl Rove had “the numbers,” remember? Check electoral-vote.com

Hillary just sent me a message. Keep Calm and Hillary On! We can’t let the MSM who love horse races way too much decide this for us.

@beeliever trumpet’s followers are not turning out for SCOTUS. I doubt many of them know what this branch of government is or what it is they do or even that trump will get to make an appointment. They’re turning out if they do to say phuck you to Obama and the federal government and all that socialized medicine. Some elected Rs may not vote for him at all in the hope he’ll lose and clear the way for an R to run against Clinton in 2020

Like I said a couple of weeks ago: the trends are in the wrong direction. Hill supporters need to stop gloating over how wacko HO is and figure out how to beat him.

All those Billary supporters who were bashing those of us that said Bernie was the answer better crawl back under the covers.

The technical reason we’re in this fix is we Democrats chose the candidate who the MSM has spent the last 25 years slandering rather than the old guy that looked “new”. But never in my wildest nightmares did I envision the MSM doing what they’ve done the last month to try to tip the scales in Trump’s favor.

So this is a make or break moment not just for our country but for us as Democrats. We have got to have Hillary’s back. This is a test case of whether innuendo, celebrity, double standards, misogyny and even fascism can trump public service and achievement and democracy. To a considerable degree, it’s on us to make sure public service and achievement and democracy prevail. Unlike Dukakis, unlike Gore, unlike Kerry, Hillary and her campaign have been proactively fighting back. And we’re still in this fix. This is a test case for whether or not we’ll get a woman president in any reasonable time frame. It’s a test case for whether or not we’ll have to wait decades or more for another Bernie. It’s a test case for whether or not we can pull America back from oligarchy. And there’s no choice but to win it.
