Discussion: Fox News GOP Debate In Salt Lake City Cancelled

C-Section Born Crud is being disrespectful of Israel here when he criticizes Donald Trump for going to AIPAC. Cruz is the Face of the God we All Love and should know better than that.

If FOX Entertainment and Ted Cruz were really serious about this, they would keep the event scheduled. Have a sit-down chat with Cruz. Have him answer some pointed questions. Seriously, if Ted Cruz has any detailed policy proposals outside of saying “My fellow Americans, my first day, I’d nullify ObamaCare,” then he and they should be good to go. Donald Trump has received so much free publicity, I’m almost embarrassed for FOX Entertainment’s and others’ loss of revenue. Senator Ted Cruz, if you are serious and you have any balls, you’d demand FOX Entertainment do this – look at the free advertisement – just YOU there. You basically can say anything you want. You are a fool, dude. And FOX Entertainment wins either day … but they’d come off as the more reasonable and responsible party – as would Cruz.

Let Ted Cruz debate himself, he will probably end hating himself so much to the point of self-murder.

Now, that I would tune in to watch!

Trump is in complete control. He’s had it in for FOX and now he’s cost them big.

I hope the RNC still gets billed and then sued when they don’t pay up.

Yep - Trump doesn’t need the RNC’s support anymore. He’s got the nomination all but sewn up; he’s threatened violence if the RNC tries to take it away from him; his supporters are all ready to make the streets in Cleveland run red.

He doesn’t need any stinkin’ debates anymore.

And (for me, at least) it’s a good thing - a bigger waste of time I cannot imagine. When Cruz says you need more than one person at a debate, the right answer is, you need more than one viewpoint at a debate, since the very definition implies two sides to the issue at hand.

None of these forums (Dem or Rep) have conformed to the dictionary’s definition of a debate.

“Ted Cruz has expressed a willingness to debate Trump or Kasich – or
both,” Clemente said in a statement provided to TPM. “But obviously,
there needs to be more than one participant. So the Salt Lake City
debate is cancelled.”

Applying the math skills I picked up in first grade, it seems to me that one Cruz plus one Kasich equals TWO candidates willing to participate, and 2 is more than 1. A debate between Kasih and Cruz would help one or both of them and probably hurt Trump, just like the last debate Trump missed probably did. It looks to me like Fox is trying to hide their surrender to Trump behind some dubious arithmetic.

And FOX Entertainment wins either day … but they’d come off as the more reasonable and responsible party – as would Cruz.
Sorry it’s not in their DNA

Thank heavens! I am SSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of seeing that blow-hard tRump on television!

Gautam Mukunda, Asst. Prof of Harvard Business School, wrote an article (2 March 2016) in the Huffington Post which should be read by every responsible American

In it Mukunda assert that Trump would be the most dangerous candidate for President in American history. The piece is thought-provoking and will make any person concerned about the welfare of his/her country incensed with the facilitation–by the MSM–of Trump’s journey from Reality TV Star to possible President of the United States.

I will not go into the article in depth here…however, for me, the most chilling part of Mukunda’s essay are the final paragraphs…for it is here that, with all of the glaring, unique, disqualifying and neurotic traits that Trump possesses, Mukunda states that Trump has a shot at the Presidency in the General Election.

And Mukunda uses a logic I have pointed out here and elsewhere:

THINGS CAN HAPPEN in an election cycle which are UNPLANNED. Mukunka lists several scenarios… The list below dovetails with Mukunda’s

  • A natural disaster
  • A terrorist incident
  • A military emergency
  • A security crisis
  • A “scandal” involving ANYONE in the Democratic Party
  • Racial unrest INCLUDING ALL INCIDENTS taking place at Trump rallies and more
  • An illness of one of the candidates
  • An outburst (including the kind of 47% video that damaged Romney)

And I CAN SAY that Mukunda states that nominating such a dangerous person for the Presidency may well be the most irresponsible thing any political party has done in American history.

In other posts, I have expressed my conviction that the corporate MSM exists for profit ONLY. I happen to believe that a number of oligarchs hate Trump. I also know that the MSM will milk every last dollar bill they can gouge from covering Trump (a feeling also held by Trump haters overcome by greed).

The question is this: Is there any faction of the MSM which is inclined to pull the plug on Trump and inform the nation who and what he is?

Seems somehow appropriate that The Donald’s delegate count stands now at 666! (◑.◑)(◣ 益 ◢)/(◐.̃◐)

I’m sure Cruz and Kasich had illustrious military careers.

Fox is now his b***h. I’m sure if it was CNN the same thing would happen. What’s the point of the rest of the fight to his Republican coronation?

So the proto-fascist Drumpf drinks the media’s milkshake once again.

I disagree with your last sentence. The Democratic debates have been adult, issues and policy focused and substantive.

Your false equivalency doesn’t fly.

Wait… so that’s it for the Republican debates this year??? NOOOOOO…

You hit the nail squarely on the head with that statement.

Trump: “I have to clean my refrigerator.”

Perhaps Faux should offer to televise the speeches at the AIPAC convention. I think Americans need to know what their politicians say to lobbyists for a foreign state.
