I’m taking they to refer to electors. While there have been faithless electors in the past and there will likely be faithless electors in the future, some states (29, in fact, per Wikipedia) have laws on the books binding their state’s electors to the pledged candidate.
A 1952 Supreme Court case (Ray v. Blair) held that states may replace electors who refuse to pledge prior to the election, and to require that electors hold to their pledge. That decision did not hold that states could punish faithless electors. Those laws have not been tested in court.
Given the Constitutional history of the Electoral College, I think those laws would be tossed in court. The laws attempt to prevent electors from exercising their best judgement regarding the candidates.
In Minnesota and Michigan, faithless electors are not punished, but their votes are nullified (that is, not forwarded to Congress). That’s probably on sounder ground than attempts to punish faithless electors.
Poor Rudy Giuliani. His “genius” has been shown to be a sexual predator with no regard for any public or personal consequences because his celebrity standing makes him immune to any guilt. And it is far far more than just his predatory behavior sick as that is. He behaves this way in everything he does. In business when he fucks up in a major way and loses huge amounts of money he gets others to take the hit. At all costs he avoids the hit. And for this he is counted as smart. He would behave the same way of elected. No longer would the “buck” stop on his desk.

Seems like one of the few things Carson may be right about. I did find it a little funny that the conservative media tried to spin some of Clintons speech transcripts as a counter point. But other than the headlines, if you look at them they are not a big deal at all.
Even if she said something questionable it is hard to compete with what Trump said.

Democrat’s number one responsibility for the next 4 weeks is to divide the Republicans between the greedy elites and the doorknob-stupid base. Tie every Republican to Trump and make them disavow or support him. Crack’em in two and reap the down-ticket benefits of conservative voters who won’t show or won’t vote for these creeps. Get the Senate in Democratic hands and move the House much closer to Democratic control. Let’s rid America of Republicans in government. We have the opening, seize it.
