Discussion: Fox News: Anchor Who Was Jailed Dealing With 'Serious Personal Issues'

No doubt Roger Ailes is busy gathering as much dirt as possible on Jarrett in case Jarrett decides to write a tell-all book.

Are their support groups for serial liars who work for fake news outlets? If not, I sense an opportunity for capital investment.

Sounds like a normal person unlike the other Fox News anchors.

Any ordinary human will have ‘personal problems’ if he has to lie all the time, and if that is the only way for him to make money. The other Fox News anchors, psychopaths as they are, clearly are immune form prangs of conscience.

I remember this guy when he started his career on “Court TV” one of the first reality TV shows that brought forth Greta, Abramson, himself and a few others. I always liked him, and was shocked to see him spoofing news on Faux. If he’s got demons, let’s hope he can get some help. No one deserves to lose their job and/or reputation like this. Let’s just hope that Faux News offers a good insurance package.

As I’m unfamiliar with this particular FNC anchor, I’m going to assume he doesn’t have a particularly high wingnut quotient that would merit any schadenfreude over an unknown personal issue. As such, I don’t actually hold anyone’s employment against them; I know good people who have worked / do work at Fox. His “personal issues” could be anything from a broken marriage to the loss of a family member. If he went out of his way to be another FNC douchebag, I might feel different, but for now, I can’t see how this guy merits anything but privacy and sympathy.

Wow, I didn’t even recognize him.

Serious personal issues = wife/boyfriend left, and he can’t imagine why.

I remember Mr. Jarrett from when he was an anchor in Wichita and he came to visit my grade school. I hope he works out whatever’s troubling him and hopefully he can find a better employer along the way.

I just wonder what narcissistic sociopathic lying sack of shit propagandist hypocrite sleaze ball and/or airhead blonde gets to fill his time slot. Lots to choose from over there.

I remember him too, and always thought he seemed a decent guy. When I saw he’d went to FOX News I was thinking WTF?!

Hmm, is your worldview coming down around your ears, assholes? Having a hard time getting along with the entire country you’ve been lying to and insulting for decades?

Must SUCK to be a Fox News person. And conservatives: we are seeing more and more of you people, especially your prominent spokespeople, in orange jump suits. Speaks volumes.

Tell me, Gregg, how do those bus wheels feel as they roll across your back?

Fox News is the end of the career for most of these folks and you and I both know it. Fox has an awful reputation for journalism, and an even worse one for just being one of the most poorly-run news outfits ever, with half-assed or just plain wrong information all the time. They’ve tried to explain it but seriously, it’s national news, when they fuck up the chryon and consistently mis-identify Republicans as Democrats (when they’re in scandal of course) it begs the question: incompetent, or incredibly dishonest? Either way, it’s inexcusable.

Fox News is a taint on these people’s careers, and I’m not sorry about that. Working for Fox News is a commitment to lying, deceiving, and hurting people. If that’s what this guy wanted, he gets to own it now. Fuck him.

Way to support an employee, Fox! Guy obviously is dealing with personal issues, and your response is to distance the network from him?

Uh, yeah. That’ll be a lesson to all your other employees who might need help in “dealing with personal issues” that their employer is going to throw them under the bus when convenient.

though I may disagree with him politically I can’t make fun of a guy that appears to be suffering from real mental issues. Hopefully he’ll recover from these mental issues as well as his political issues.

He’s “dealing with issues”? That explains it.

Apologize, find Jesus, listening tour…back to work. Easy peasy.

Thank you for that. I NEVER watch Fox NEWS (only Fox entertainment division) and I was wondering where I had seen him before. I vaguely remember Court TV with him and Greta.

I remember him as a news reporter for KGO radio in San Francisco. He was very good. I lost track of him after that, never knew about Court TV or Fox News. I wish him well in dealing with his deamons.

What is it about this airport that makes right wingers go off the rails? Remember “Wide Stance” Larry Craig?
