Oh cut the crap. There would be no middle class in “rural” Ohio if it wasn’t for white flight starting in the 1970’s. And BTW, hardly anyone farms their family’s own land…if they still own it.

I would think that the officials of the school in Tennessee are responsible for the flag ban.

Ah, another week starts with the even further dumbing down of Fox News and it’s friends. Tucker Carlson needs to go back to the bow-ties as at least then he was mildly amusing, and had not slid into the complete idiot territory he currently inhabits.

Dickson county is 93% white and has only 50,000 people. These are likely FOX’s own viewers that they are bitching and moaning about who made this decision, not the urban elite.

Though students in Dickson County, Tennessee, will not be able to display banners, including the Confederate flag, though officials will allow schools to display American flags on flag poles.
Sure sounds like it bans all banners other than the American flag, so would apply to the rainbow flag as well.

The germ of truth here is that banning all flags to keep idiots from displaying the Klan flag is one of those attempts to be “even-handed” and “fair” that only manages to piss off people who would otherwise have supported them while doing nothing to placate the unplacatable grievance-mongering stupid white totally not racist racists.

I live in East TN, it is only recently that at least 75% of homes now flying the American flag had raised one . About 20% of the people that installed their first American flag have also installed a Confederate flag. Yea, patriotism, tradition… my azz.

In the other Universe…
There are millions of people under 40 who are carving out lives which MLK would have teared-up for…diversity, intermarriage, friendships across ethnic and “racial” lines, weakening of the odious “One Drop Rule” as it applies to African Americans, the acceptance of people having African ancestry with identities as mixed-race people… A fine situation.
Unfortunately, they vote at rates far below ignorant, bigoted, fearful and OLD people.
