Roger Ailes has an escape clause for hosts-- if your offensive comment is solely aimed at black people, you don’t have to apologize. He instituted it after asking Sean Hannity to apologize, which resulting in him having an Martin-Sheen-in-Apocalypse-Now breakdown.
