I’m maybe willing to trade: No more public schools but all religious institutions lose their tax exemptions.
I’ll have to run the numbers first, but then maybe our taxes will go down enough to pay for secular schooling.

Come visit the public schools in Montgomery and Fairfax Counties just outside DC. World class education. ESL for a dozen different languages.

Yeah, I’m all for people who believe that the earth is two thousand years old and that
math is ungodly and history should be about Jesus-- be responsible for their children’s education.
I mean when I am elderly and want to live in a neighborhood full of open minded people with
actual jobs that pertain to this millennium and not the 1400s . . . .I’ll just weep.

Yes, there was a time in American history where every parent had a choice to either pay for food and shelter, or pay to have their child educated at a school that may or may not accept their child due to race/religion/class/etc. To ensure that every child is educated with a choice of the school would equate to… wait for it… public education!! Or do they just want to ensure that parents and communities have no say in what the schools teach, because they’re “private”?

How the hell did Kennedy end up on Fox News anyway? I’m assuming the old crazy white guys that run the place thought they were getting somebody relevant because she was on MTV in the 90s? And she’s just too dumb to appeal to anybody else so she just took the job?

And a quick glance at Wikipedia reveals that this asshat is the product of both public secondary schooling ( Lakeridge High School in Oswego, OR) and received an education from UCLA, also a public school.
Just another example of the GOP philosophy of, “I’ve got mine, fuck all the rest of you.”
