Discussion for article #233441
She’s too old to be this fucking stupid.
“We should return to the days when parents had to pay for their children’s education and people were entirely ignorant of everything so that the Aristocrats can rule the country”. It’s time to put an end to this crap. Do you know what happens to a nation without an educational system- it fails.
“You’re already paying for it with your taxes,” she said. “What if you got that money back, whichever, you know, county or city, however much they allocate to your child’s education? What if you got that back and you got to decide? And you had a say in your teachers and where your kids went to school.”
Noooo. Blue States are paying for that. Thanks for playing.
“I mean we should really go to a system where parents of every stripe have a choice, have a say in the kind of education their kids get because, when we have centralized, bureaucratic education doctrines and dogmas like this, that’s exactly what happens.”
And this is how ignorant Fox “news” hosts and contributors are created.
Miserably.
MTV Kennedy? Seriously? Exactly when in-between music videos did she become a public education expert?
So says the former MTV idiot who graduated from public schools. In typical Republican fashion, attempts to close the door behind her.
Yes, wonderful. We get Oklahoma, where GOPigs want to stick their snout into every schoolbook, and dictate what should be taught to their State’s kids.
In typical GOPig fashion, they are guilty of exactly the crimes they denounce.
There is always time to get your GED. It is never too late, even for has been video DJs.
I’m maybe willing to trade: No more public schools but all religious institutions lose their tax exemptions.
I’ll have to run the numbers first, but then maybe our taxes will go down enough to pay for secular schooling.
“There really shouldn’t be public schools, should there?” Kennedy said.
“I mean we should really go to a system where parents of every stripe
have a choice…”
Cro-magnon man had this “alternative form” of education down to a tee. 'Course, it took them quite a while to get to that wheel thingy, sometime in the the 4th millennium BCE, I think.
This woman must have been born with a silver spoon in her mouth.
Come visit the public schools in Montgomery and Fairfax Counties just outside DC. World class education. ESL for a dozen different languages.
Then go back and return to your old job as a fluffer.
Yeah, I’m all for people who believe that the earth is two thousand years old and that
math is ungodly and history should be about Jesus-- be responsible for their children’s education.
I mean when I am elderly and want to live in a neighborhood full of open minded people with
actual jobs that pertain to this millennium and not the 1400s . . . .I’ll just weep.
I wonder if the glasses make her feel smart?
Yes, there was a time in American history where every parent had a choice to either pay for food and shelter, or pay to have their child educated at a school that may or may not accept their child due to race/religion/class/etc. To ensure that every child is educated with a choice of the school would equate to… wait for it… public education!! Or do they just want to ensure that parents and communities have no say in what the schools teach, because they’re “private”?
Unfortunately, some clever surgeon must have removed it and liberated her vocal cords to vibrate unintelligibly.
This is easily the stupidest thing I’ve heard all week. I mean, really, really really stupid.
How the hell did Kennedy end up on Fox News anyway? I’m assuming the old crazy white guys that run the place thought they were getting somebody relevant because she was on MTV in the 90s? And she’s just too dumb to appeal to anybody else so she just took the job?
And a quick glance at Wikipedia reveals that this asshat is the product of both public secondary schooling ( Lakeridge High School in Oswego, OR) and received an education from UCLA, also a public school.
Just another example of the GOP philosophy of, “I’ve got mine, fuck all the rest of you.”
The irony is that the Taliban are destroying public education in Pakistan where a million kids are afraid to go to school.
I think with Kennedy, this is even too much credit. I really think she just flat out doesn’t think about what she’s saying or doesn’t actually understand her own words or what she’s implying.
