I’m pretty sure…correct me if I’m wrong…but that’s an abysmal misstatement of what’s going on there. I’m not a reproductive rights lawyer, but I have to imagine that the rule of thumb being applied here is that the person who doesn’t want to reproduce trumps the person who does. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s literally int he contracts they signed when they created the embryos.

Boy, I’ll say!
Ablow seem totally ignorant of the fact that there are possible medical complications of a pregnancy, some quite severe, and such a man would not have to face them while he’s forcing an unwanted pregnancy on his ex-wife/girlfriend. Even a psychiatrist learns something about pregnancy in medical school.

We signed a form stating that any embryos created through the process could be brought to term only with both parties’ consent. The form did not specify — as California law requires — what would happen if we separated.
Seems like he’s splitting legal hairs. If the document specifies that both parties must consent if they’re a couple, isn’t it clear that they’d have to consent if they separated?

And watch the little old ladies and gents (who look just at home at the Bingo Parlor or Square dance) as they wallow in the filth FOX puts out.
They look just so harmless…until it is realized that their voting prowess knocks out all of the legions of supposedly more “intelligent” and “sensible” people.

Thanks, Fox, for foisting off another “expert” on us. I’m so glad I never waste a minute of my precious time watching this drivel, and thanks to the intrepid reporters at TPM for uncovering this human waste.
