What do you expect? Of course he’s going to tell boldface lies. His entire legacy is built on a terrible, miserable failure of a foreign policy and ignoring domestic policy to the point of crisis.

What Dickie meant was that he gets the benefit of the “black president presumption” which is that everything bad that happened in the preceding white guy’s presidency were things that the black guy caused… So it was Obama who got drunk and shot that old guy in the face, Obama that built those centrifuges in Iran, Obama that disbanded the Sunni military creating Isis, and on ad nauseam.

Mind-boggling thought experiment: Given the denial and selective memory on display here, just imagine how Cheney rationalizes away the fact that his Admin. was distinctly warned that the 9/11 attack would happen. And then think what he would be saying if that exact same event happened during a Dem. Admin?

When King asks if he knows the identity of the person whose heart keeps him alive, Cheney, who is promoting a book about his transplant experience, says no, and adds, “it hadn’t been a priority for me.” Then he goes on:
When I came out from under the anesthetic after the transplant, I was euphoric. I’d had–I’d been given the gift of additional lives, additional years of life. For the family of the donor, they’d just been [through] some terrible tragedy, they’d lost a family member. Can’t tell why, obviously, when you don’t know the details, but the way I think of it from a psychological standpoint is that it’s my new heart, not someone else’s old heart. And I always thank the donor, generically thank donors for the gift that I’ve been given, but I don’t spend time wondering who had it, what they’d done, what kind of person.

Cheney has never been ignorant of anything that occurred under his watch. He simply lies about them. He knows his racist party will eat up his lies since they are anxious to blame the black guy. This man should be dead or in prison, not given a platform to continue spreading a laughably false narrative.

I must be missing something basic here: the period between the “no ‘fuges’” of 2007 and the “5000 ‘fuges’” "by 2009 would, by virtue of how our system works, be entirely “on the watch” of the president elected in 2004, not the president elected in 2008 who’s not even sworn into office until near the end of January 2009.
If I haven’t missed anything about this, there’s really only 3 conclusions: Cheney’s brain is gone, Cheney’s lying, or some of each.
