Discussion: Fox Guest Calls President Obama The 'Rapper-In-Chief' For Using N-Word

A bigot is a bigot - no matter the color. However, self-hating black people are hard to swallow

Precisely, right? He’s not “using the N- word”, he’s uttering the word so people can take it in while he’s making a point.

Good grief.

Well as a first generation italian I can tell you that far too many of my people are full fledged racists so if she is married to an italian, it doesn’t surprise me they found each other

Nobody that doesn’t want to be fooled by this woman is going to be. She sucks at projection and needs serious work on her pearl clutching. If you scratch just a thin layer off her point…use of the word nigger…you’d have to ask: Why intimate and suggest at the word? What’s the difference in “N word” or “that word” than nigger? We all know what’s being talked about.

Like I said. This will only work on those that want to believe it. No one thinks Obama is divisive other than those that want him to be. No one thinks a discussion of the word nigger is akin to use of it in a rap song other than those that want to think that way.

And of course there the 2000 pong gorilla in the room. The word when used in discussions of its foulness or when used in a Rap song mocking it is nowhere the same as when it’s used by a guy like Rook to denigrate a race of people. People he will later kill. Obama was talking about that use of the word and this mighty fine woman knows that.

I wonder if Fox News hosts have fainting couch reimbursement in their contracts?

She would have preferred that the sound crew had issued a “CLANG!!” when Obama said the word.

Slow news day at Fox

Did they play the entire clip? If so they would know that his use of the “n” word was correct within the context of his statement. Their going ballistic proves his point.

She’s probably closer to a psychopath than anything. When they’re starting out they’re probably not as insane as they act, I think they probably know what they’re saying is nonsense and harmful, but they do it anyway for the paycheck. They’re immoral scum. If they’re successful, you start to see the Hannity/O’Reilly phenomenon, where it appears they actually start believing their own lies.

Personally, every time I watch Fox News I’m reminded of Scientology. The pattern is the same. There’s the same fake certainty and the same slow-progressing self-delusion. Fox News is a cult.

Since when has the “N word” come to be invented and exclusively used by rappers? When did she forget the centuries long use and meaning of the word? Did this moron read Roof’s “Manifesto”? He uses the “N word” as well. Or Roof just a white rapper?

I am so disgusted that this is an issue. On Thomas Roberts show at MSNBC they are actually taking a poll and believing that the results of the poll mean something. Do these people not know that republican trolls troll all these shows just to vote and sway the results. If people are so stupid they can see why he said what he said then we are doomed. Perhaps they should listen to the entire 1 hour podcast so they could understand how and why he said it. Man I am fed up with these stupid stories

What this high-horse talk reminds me of is Richard Nixon once saying one of his opponents wasn’t qualified for whatever job it was because he said ‘goddamn.’

Has she never heard a white person say “nigger?” I have. More than once. More than a few hundred times actually.

Too much nuance, JohnB. Fox doesn’t do nuance.

I listend to the podcast this morning, the whole podcast. I knew instantly what Fox would pick up on. I turned on the TV and bang there was this refugee from CNN asking leading questions to an African man and an African woman. This woman starts talking about rap music and Rapper-in-Chief and her shock and disgust with the President. Totally predictable from Fox down to the interviewer being shocked, shocked that the N-Word is being used in any context and telling both of his guests he would NEVER use that word in front of them (even to make a point) because he would not want to insult them.

I truly never know if these people actually believe this mess of “logic” or if it’s all to effect a certain opinion in their audience. And I can’t decide which is worth. But to listen to over an hour of honest conversation and that is where you land. It takes my breath away.

Her logic is simple:

“This is an excuse to slam the President. Fox will pay me to do it. Logically, I should slam the President.”

She’s either willfully being stupid towards some personal gain, or she is really bad at reading comprehension.

Deneen is the Rachel Dolezal of Faux Nose. Though I have compassion for Rachel because of her being a victim from Christian Fundamentalism and her redemptive work as an activist; Deneen is pretentious, stupid and a sellout token.

She identifies as white.
