Discussion: Four Tea Party Favorites Tell Congress: Go All Out To Fight Obama's 'Amnesty'

Discussion for article #230770

How’s about WalMart’s race-to-the-bottom wages? Are they harmful to the people working here now too?

A sane, polite, self aware person wouldn’t want to be seen sharing a podium with King, Bachmann & Gohmert. Why would anyone actually want to be the Fourth Stooge?

I’m sure African Americans across the nation will sleep better tonight knowing that Ted Cruz has their interests at heart and is looking out for them.

And responding by shutting down the govt won’t hurt any demographic, right?

“Amnesty is fundamentally unfair to the African American community that’s facing historic unemployment.”

Speaking for the AA community, we don’t want to do the jobs that your Teabagger base refuses to do either. How 'bout you get the white poor in Red states to pick lettuce and tomatoes, because you previously never gave a flying f**k about unemployed Black folks - ever.

He failed to mention immigrants are running around destroying apple pies. That would have clinched it. Oh, they kick puppies, too!

Yes, all those crappy $7.50/hr minimum wage jobs should be given to the “Blacks”. So says Ted Cruz!

Be careful about you might say about Steve King, he’s a authentic, combat-tested, American hero!

Classic. Cruz definitely knows his history. The oppressed becoming the oppressors of the next wave of immigrants has played out several times before in our history. It’s a fantastic diversionary tactic for the uber-oppressor to use to keep their targets fighting among themselves…not to mention that it was pretty much what Hitler did in turning the Jews into the boogeyman at fault for all of everyone else’s woes in the lead up to Nazi Germany. Give them their boogeyman and they’ll be too busy fighting each other to notice your hand in their pocket, your foot on their neck, your knife in their backs, right Cruz?

I trust the black community just rolls its eyes at him for the most part, but he’s certainly playing to the basest and sometimes hardest to resist urges of human nature. He’s essentially saying “Lash out at the Hispanics all ye blackies…and pay no attention to the white man and plutocrats raping your communities, hopes, dreams and well-being…after all, you’re helpless before us, but you can feel powerful taking it all out on the newest and weakest among us.”

The fact that these folks are OK being seen with each other - much less agreeing with them - is what continues to floor me. While they’re standing there don’t they hear what the others saying? Look at them, and you can tell they are re-running their favorite episode of Gilligan’s Island in their heads.

This is the same rally, read on!

Funny. The vast majority of people that immigrated to the country did so lawlessly.

Didn’t read. You lost me at “Cruz…” plus the photo of Bachmann, King and Gomert behind him. Too much stupid in one place too early in my day.

Thanks for pretending to care about us Ted, but the reason black unemployment is so high isn’t because of Mexicans. It has much more to do with the Ferguson situation you’ve probably tuned out.

Oh. So now we are to believe Cruz is concerned about African American unemployment.

Riiiight.

Cruz has also predicted that Obama would cause a shutdown over the executive action.

I think you meant:

Cruz has also predicted that his tantrum-throwing colleagues would refuse to pass a budget, resulting in a government shutdown, which would then be blamed on Obama

Hey, you know what’s unfair? How Cubans get special treatment when they set foot on US soil, as opposed to Latinos. (And if anyone says “Cuban is Latino,” you’ve never met a Cuban).
