Discussion: Fort Hood Shooter Wants To Join ISIS, Writes Letter To Leader

Discussion for article #227018

Crazy guy in prison does something crazy. I wonder if next we’ll get the latest from Charles Manson about his opinions of swastikas. (Spoiler: HE LIKES THEM!)

“Fox News obtained the letter and published it’s content’s on Friday.”

Hmmm, why do I have doubts about authenticity of this letter? I mean, come on, how did they “intercept” the thing in the first place?

Besides, what’s he gonna be able to do now that he’s a frigging paraplegic locked in a super secure military prison anyway?

Something smells fishy with this story…a lawyer that divulges his client’s letter to the press? And Faux being the one to get it? This is a man that’s already convicted and behind bars getting another bite at the apple to make news through the Faux propaganda machine? Isn’t Hassan on death row? WTF.

Anything for Faux to beat the drums of war. Of course, none of them will ever have to actually fight any war they advocate and pine for…

Faux Nuz, much like CNN, is convinced that War is always good for ratings.

Everything I’ve read says the guys who rush to join ISIS are religious neophytes. They join mostly because of disillusionment, moral outrage, peer pressure and a sense of purpose, the same reasons many people join gangs.

Which is the same reason many people join the Tea Party.

I’d add, its the same reason some join Patriot Groups, Oath Keepers, the KKK, and other militaristic cults here in this country.

His lawyer can call it “religious zeal”, I still just call it mental illness.

Fuggin’ obsessive.

If Tim McVeigh hadn’t mainlined a potassium cocktail, I bet he’d be begging to join the Tea Party…

Is Hassan slated for the death penalty?

What’s the difference?

really glad to see those moderate muslims speaking out against ISIS. I mean its not like 1in6 muslims in France support them or anything

Precisely. I wonder if the lawyer, John Gallagin, is someone who wants deeper US military re-involvement in the Middle East?
