President Donald Trump’s former national security adviser, Michael Flynn, who was fired from the White House last month, has registered as a foreign agent with the Justice Department for work that may have aided the Turkish government in exchange for $530,000.

That is demonstrably untrue - Trump had been briefed on Flynn’s conversations two weeks before he fired him. Trump fired Flynn for getting caught.
That last line elevates the whole bit from brilliant to sublime. Gets me every time.
Not to be pedantic, but turkeys can fly. Domestic farmed ones often can’t as they are bred and fed to be too heavy for their wings, we eat them. But wild turkeys not only fly, they sleep in trees as well. We’re surrounded by flocks of them. The are iridescent, sparkling in the sun, beautiful birds.
We have wild turkeys in and around our neighborhood. I know they can fly, but generally they just strut around like they own the place.
I’m assuming the TV bit involved the domestic farmed type. They were all off-camera, though, so I can’t be sure.
I’ve seen wild turkeys fly (rarely and not far) but they can reach a pretty decent height in trees. I didn’t know they slept in them though.
They do, and it’s hysterical to see them fly up there. They don’t fly long, fast ,or gracefully, but they do fly. When we lived out of town, we had a large tree outside our bedroom window where one in particular liked to sleep. I’d catch photos of him up there as the sun was setting, we called it the turkey tree.
