Discussion: Former Trump Adviser Says He Fired Kasich From Reagan's Campaign For Drugs

Discussion for article #242300

I think what’s interesting about the comment by this guy, (who I don’t find particularly credible btw since he’s a slimeball), is that Ohio from my understanding has a marijuana initiative on their ballot this Tues., Nov. 3rd, and Kasich has spoken out against it. That’s the hypocrisy part I think he’s referring to by his comment and what seems to be left out of this article.

Every time I read or hear anything about the current slate of GOP hopefuls, it’s me who I think is on drugs.

Selling pot? Eh, that should be okay for a GOP candidate.

It’s not like he was giving it away like some kind of hippie, right?

The Republican gaggle is reminding me of those neighbors Mia Farrow had in Rosemary’s Baby. The question is who is in the basinet…Rubio or Cruz?

Stone is a congenital liar.

I think Rodger might need to change his last name to Stoned.

What is that about honour among thieves? Good Ole Roger Stone, ever the “classy” slimeball.

The question to Kasich was a good one, because it explores the edges of his willingness to be a Cassandra speaking truth to his party. There are limits, and anti-dirty-hippy is still a litmus test he’ll abide by.

Roger Stone:

Hypocrisy ? I fired John Kasich from the 1976 Reagan Campaign … For selling pot to other field men

I could be wrong, but for some reason I thought Stone spent most of his free time in the 80’s and early 90’s snorting coke at Plato’s Retreat and The Vault (NYC swinger’s clubs, The Vault specialized in S&M). I know Stone has admitted frequenting those places. I’m just a little less sure about whether or not he had a coke habit, though.

Anyway, my point is that Stone is pretty much the last person in the world who’s in a position to judge others over hypocrisy, drugs, or lies.

Despicable politics from a despicable bunch.

Stone is dirty as all get out.

Isn’t he responsible for bringing down Elliot Spitzer? I recognize that Spitzer’s actions were his own and would have been fine had he been a a Republican.

The only way a young Republican could support Reagan is if they were stoned out of their mind!

This former Trump adviser always seems to be popping up in the here and now saying things that are helpful to Trump.

The Republicans may be anti-abortion, but they’re really just a few steps away from eating their young.

They’re getting worse than the junior high kids I substitute taught.

Quoting Roger Stone??? WTF cares what Roger Stone ever says? Reality got a divorce from him for abandonment (and serial abuse) many decades ago…

Stone may be a fringe character, but I still enjoy traditional political mud-flinging, and outrageous dust-ups like this! The talking heads will all report on it with a snort and chuckle, further cementing the utter lack of seriousness to the entire GOP process of finding a single serious adult in the room. So far, they got nothing.
