I’m willing to assume that Trumpp is telling the truth when he says he has been audited by the IRS (I won’t assume he is telling the truth about any of the details), but Mueller’s investigation is a much more dangerous animal than an IRS audit is. The IRS is only concerned with your apparent adherence to the tax code. The legality of your income is not their area of interest.
Granted, Mueller did not start with a mandate to investigate Trumpp, but, in the matter he is investigating, the most important paths are those that lead to Trumpp or to anyone involved in his campaign.

Love ya and miss ya Senator Levin. He was all over those offshore banking matters too, where people were ducking out from paying their fair share of taxes. Btw, my mom dated his brother, who’s still in the House representin’ when they were in high school together in Detroit. Senator Gary Peters that took his place is good, but I’d really like to see him to speak up more often. He’s ex-military, so maybe he’ll have something to say about the newest boneheaded policy King Shits-a-lot dumped onto the American public today regarding those serving in our Armed Forces.
Carl Levin had gravitas when he was in Congress. Some didn’t like the way he argued against getting rid of the filibuster, but on so many issues he was so smart and so focused on good public service as a noble profession, and on getting positive results for those you serve.

Jeez, lighten up buddy. Ignoreland is a TPM Prime member for Pete’s sake. Levin didn’t remove documents from the Senate, he referred Mueller to old committee records that should still be accessible to his investigation.
