Discussion: Former RNC Chair: Trump Has Spoken To America's 'Racist Underbelly'

Point 1: Michel Steele was at a dinner for Mother Jones? Wow.

Point 2: So pretty much much Mr. Steele is agreeing with Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” line.

But he still stays in the Klan Old Party…

Steele said that Trump does not represent the whole Republican party and that he was “damn near puking during the debates.”

Damn, everybody knew that tuna salad had been sitting out for several hours before the buffet line even opened. C’mon, Mikey, get a clue!

All this piling on has me dumbfounded. EVERYONE hates him.

I wonder how long before Mike retweets this one?

I’ve proposed this before. What must if be like to be the most reviled individual in a nation of 330 million people? I know there are bad people more deserving of scorn. Bernie Madoff ruined thousands of lives just for one. Pedophiles and murderers are arguably more detestable than Trump by magnitudes of ten. But for sheer notoriety, for scorn shared by the greatest number of persons, does anyone rival Trump?

Donnie’s ego collapsing on November 9th will be the astronomical equivalent to the collapse of a dark a-hole.

If only we could harness the energy released.

At a dinner for the magazine Mother Jones, Steele told Buzzfeed News that Trump has “captured that racist underbelly, that frustration, that angry underbelly of American life and gave voice to that.”

He’s not gonna vote for Clinton and insists, INSISTS, that Rump and his feral trumpers don’t represent the Republican Party. Nope. Aside from the fact that all the other primary GOP establishment types (all 16 chuckleheads) went down in flames and couldn’t cobble enough votes to beat Rump. Nope. Just a strange abberation.

This is coming from a former Lt. Governor.

Steve Gilliard, God rest his soul, was totally correct when he wrote about this undignified, sell out phony who thinks he’s “one of the good ones.”

Too funny.

The GOP’s been speaking to America’s racist underbelly since Nixon. Which, of course, means Steele participated in the process with his eyes wide open.

Gotta pay the rent.

According to polls, HRC is not that far behind.

or when Steele lost his feud against Rahm Emanuel.

Hillary can console herself that within the cohort of all the people that despise her are every misogynistic, wife beating, womanizing philanderer drawing a breath. Whereas Trump garners contempt from a helluva lot of people trending to the normal, well adjusted end of the scale.

Once the votes are counted I’m expecting a tsunami of that. I have an ex-friend who used to wave her hand dismissively about the “crazies” because they weren’t the real Republicans, which she identified with classical conservatism stuff like small government, fiscal restraint, modest foreign policy and so forth. All of which went straight out the window with Dubya, never to be seen again.
