The way this is written appears to make Stockman out as an atypical Rethugliklan. I don’t believe anything could be further from the truth. If there’s lucre to be had they tend to arrive with a vacuum and a wheelbarrow to haul it away in.

As far after I’m concerned, the only thing this guy did wrong was to not steal all of his campaign contributions.
See, I’m thinking that if every GOP candidate stole all of their contributions, they’d not win any elections. Furthermore, no one deserves to be ripped off more than the GOP donor class (think of it as a penalty for ruining the country).
In fact, I’d be in favor of changing the law for GOP candidates only: as long as you steal it all, not only do you not go to jail, but you get to keep every last cent.
Just a little nation-saving encouragement for them to do the right thing, which is to not be elected in the first place.
In 2018, however, it appears we need to increase the frequency with which the award is given. We’ll now be giving a “Duke of the Week” each weekend.
