ETA: Being Oregon, shouldn’t he re-pulp it and do some artisinal craft paper from it to use for his correspondence with the authorities? A little ironic/hipster covering of the tracks there.

What do you do with your trash? The Oregonian is sure working hard at being judge and jury and hangmen before Mr. Kitzhaber has even been charged with anything.

This is scumbag “reporting” – something usually left to a Murdock-owned paper. But The Oregonian is losing circulation so rapidly it will do anything to get “hits” on its chronically clunky website. Kitzhaber is a native Oregonian and his obsession with fly-fishing is well known. He has a place in Central Oregon so he can fish the Deschutes, He was dumping trash from that place.
I didn’t thing The Oregonians could sink much lower into the ditch. I was wrong.

The cops had to rummage through garbage–ha-ha! I hope they got lots of spent kitty litter and dead leftovers with black hair! This pegs the stupid meter.
Exactly. I had a subscription to the Oregonian for 18 years and cancelled it when the Governor resigned. The newspaper is now an out of town-owned rag that belongs in a dump.

That depends rather critically on what they find, doesn’t it.
Why would a recently resigned governor conceal or destroy evidence in such a public spectacle of a manner when there are in-house out-of-the-public-eye ways to do the same thing? There has to be some innocent explanation for what they were doing.
