Discussion: Former Mossad Chief: Netanyahu Lied to Congress

Discussion for article #234062

I would expect nothing but lies from such a staunch Republican ally.

The idea that Iran would nuke the US even if they could (they can’t) is ludicrous at best. The US would turn Iran into glass and they know that. If they nuked Israel they’d get the same no matter who was President, and to believe otherwise is foolish and dangerous.

“the person who has caused the greatest strategic damage to Israel on the Iranian issue is the prime minister.”

2nd Place: The American GOP Congress
Remember, Boehner, Iran killed its only space monkey!

You mean a politician lied?

Jesus, I’m amazed. I thought that was only done by the ones in THIS country.

This former Mossad chief is clearly anti-Semitic.

A lying liar, supported by a party of lying liars, promoted by a television network dedicated to being lying liars.
Does that sum it up?

The argument I’ve heard from the Right is that the mullahs in Iran are apocalypse believers who are crazy enough to commit their nation to suicide with a nuclear war they would certainly lose. Some of those tighty-righties are itching for a Christian Armageddon, certain that their devoutness would earn them a place in the Rapture.

This is Boehner’s lie.

If Netanyahu wants to say this to his own people, that’s one thing. At most, had that taken place, it would have been a topic for wonks, and not the “Churchillian moment” for the hillbillies.

Saying this to the Chambers of the Congress of the United States of America, with the expressed purpose of challenging the President of the United States…

that’s John Andrew Boehner

who set this up. He owns this, and should be held 100% responsible for any ill-effects.

And according to Rudy he doesn’t love Israel.

Bibi Lied. The truth died. Hopefully American soldiers will not join what just happened to the truth.

Dagan told an Israeli daily that “the person who has caused the greatest strategic damage to Israel on the Iranian issue is the prime minister.”

Our own CIA chief could say the same about the U.S. vis a vis Bush/Cheney for their own lies to Congress that created the clusterfuck of a Mid-East catastrophe we now have. As I think Borisjimbo and others said elsewhere Netanyahu=Cheney, both liars whose lies to Congress then helped start one unnecessary war, and whose lies now to a fawning GOP congress could start another. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on [GOP congress]… or as Bush articulated it:

Oh how they love Neti, just don’t want to be him or any other Jew for that matter… at least according to Missouri GOPers.

That’s why I did not bother to watch the speech, because I knew it would be all lies.

The mullahs have been in power for 35 years now. During that time they have acted neither irrationally nor suicidally. Rather, they have acted in rational pursuit of their self-interest and expanding their power and that of Shia Islam. Having the main Shia nation reduced to rubble would not further`their goals. Mutual assured destruction restrained the actions of Mao and Stalin, 2 of the greatest mass murderers in human history. It’s one of few postulates in history that is actually proven to work in the real world.

None of this is to say that Iran having a bomb would be good, or that we shouldn’t try to prevent nuclear proliferation. But the idea that if those efforts fail, the mullahs will launch a bomb on Tel Aviv at the price of seeing Iran vaporized lacks any evidence to support it.

Rudy suspects he’s not a real American, has access to powerful evidence he’s no Christian, and is convinced he doesn’t love America the way he does, or even you or I do

Headlined by Dagan:

Former Mossad chief Meir Dagan tells crowd of up to 35,000 that under Netanyahu, Israel faces most severe leadership crisis in country’s history.
