Respectfully, I donāt think this is a very good article.
What is the reason for posting all of the tweets which anyone can read on Twitter?
That said, it was a great thread, which I read earlier.
I can see re-doing the tweets, but twice each?
Might be a meaningless word, but have you ever notice how often they use it? Listening to a Republican go on and on about āleaderā in an interview is like listening to a local sportscaster trip over themselves to see how often the word ācoachā can be used in each sentence when they are interviewing one of reporting on one.
As I Kentuckian, I can say I had no problem with the double tweets. I despise McConnell that much.
I donāt mind links to good twitter stuff as I hardly ever look at mine unless some one points out something that might interest me.
Last night when word of the tweets came out, I went to read them It was annoying to have to scroll down, find post number one and then scroll up to follow the entire thread. So reprinting it here is a big improvement. Repeating it twice was possibly part of the embed code. Iāve embedded tweets and seen more than I thought I would in the product. When that happens, I have no idea how to edit the original code, so I just leave it. I suspect whoever did this article did the same thing. Embedded the tweets and then took a screenshot so they could post it.
Agreed. and the verb āchortlesā is completely inapposite. Adamsā was a thoughtful, detailed, and well-informed takedown, not a gloat.
āLeaderā McConnell has really failed at his job, itās on display for everyone to see. But fortunately for him the senate rules on how to proceed with a bill are arcane, no one much outside of senators and their staff understand. So when he issues a statement at the end of the debacle saying heās going to try to put a bill forward to completely repeal and get back to it in two years, itās nothing but bullshit. It canāt be done simply because of those arcane rules. There are 52 NO votes, and even a vote from Mighty Pants canāt change that. BTW my favorite pic of a leader in defeat is Mussolini hanging upside in a gas station.
I donāt have Twitter, so I appreciate the re-telling. But Iām unclear about why things are presented with duplicates, and sometimes the duplicates are not near each other.
Totally agree, inapt headline. This was substantive stuff, not empty schaudenfreude.
OKā¦so maybe a COUPLE of Dems are ādancingā on the grave ofā¦fill-in-the-blank. They were much closer to working with these chumps than othersā¦
"Their problem now is that the tactics McConnell employed to accrue power undercut their ability to get things done. "
Bingo. Welcome to the wonderful world of radicalization.
The rats!
The rats begin to chew the sheets.
Thereās murmuring down below.
Murmuring, murmuring.

Iād much rather see other peopleās curated tweets than have look for them myself, which I donāt.
TPMās headline writerās batting average is dipping pretty significantly todayā¦
Indeed. Itās part of conservative pshycology: they love them some authority.
McConnell is riding his horse around DC while naked!
Uglier than ā¦
McConnell wanted to bulldoze past the polls. Enough Senators figured out who they really worked for ā¦ and they saw the polls.
Yes. Headline should be corrected. Not only is it inaccurate ā āinappositeā is the perfect word.
